Could’ve been worse, the operator could’ve dropped the bridge on a passing ship, causing millions in damage to the bridge..... oh yeah that’s right, that just happens in Detroit.

So Alfa also knows these cars will depreciate at a crazy rate. Good times.

I get or give a photo of drivers license first. That way at least I have a name if it goes sideways, and then they actually have a license too.

The joint repairs normally don’t happen until many years down the road 10+, or sometimes not at all. And if those are done correctly, and then they grind the surface, you would never know they did them. Again it’s all dependent on the specs and what the state buys in the contract.

It’ll be nice once it’s done though.

The lowest bidder should reap the cheapest option for the taxpayers. They still need to meet specs, so the cheapest dollar to do that should suffice. Now if the maintenance isn’t kept up, then it costs a bunch more because you are now looking at replacement instead of repaving.

To get the better roads it costs more money. Take asphalt vs concrete, you’re talking a large upfront cost difference as much as 10x more for concrete, but on the flip side, the length the road will last is much greater as well. It’s the typical political BS, we have interim governments that will only be In office

Lmao

You are incorrect. Many folks will be lining up to bid and build the work. Construction pays a pretty decent wage, especially in the union trades areas. You may not want to do it, but there are a lot of folks that will. And hey guess what? Those folks that build shit, actually spend money in the local economy as

Oh gotcha, I’m a beam man myself. They work great on my 99 Dakota and my MIL 03 Deville. Sometimes I’ve had to go down a size if they don’t lay down nicely on other vehicles, but I prefer them especially in the winter. No ice issues with them.

I’d drive the shit out of it, what a waste to leave it locked up for years. It’s a car, not an investment... think of how much you could’ve made on that money if it was invested in stocks instead?

That’s good, because eventually you’ll need a roof replacement and likely some exterior cladding sealant replacement, so that 300k will evaporate quickly.

I saw those last time I was shopping, so they’re nice? I figured I’d stick with what I know and do the Bosch blades, also, you can refill them if you’re careful pulling the endcaps off and pry the locking tab out carefully. Then a set of $2 inserts will do the trick. But that was before I found the rockauto blades,

If you plan ahead you can get the good quality wipers from rockauto for less than $10 a blade, and the same ones from the store shelves for half price, you just need to purchase a few sets at a time to offset the shipping charges. I just ordered 2 sets for 2 of my cars for less than $8 per blade for Bosch icon

But it’s still a jeep. Seem expensive, 65k maybe, but that’s the limit IMO. I’m just glad they build them.

Hey it’s that will smith song... oh wait never mind.

Yeah, I’m surprised MB didn’t go the audi route and go aluminum. I can’t tell you how many mid to late 2000s S-classes I see here in the Detroit metro area with rust issues, such a waste. That’s why I went the S8 route with my newest daily driver. Steel and Michigan winters don’t mix.

Depreciation is one of the best things ever, same as a 50k mile warranty. It’s beautiful. Original owner drives it till the warranty is going to expire and trades it in. Resale value drops off a cliff after the warranty expires, then folks like me come in and have a very fun car for less than Toyota Camry money.

First they came for the billionaires and I said noth..... oh never mind, tax em. No reason they can’t kick in a few bucks. Hell it might even make everyone better off, you know the rising tide and all that. We can’t tax cut out way to better government services.

LMAO.... great reference
