It’s normally not a sensor as much as it is an algorithm that looks at the types of driving you’ve been doing, and it calculates the interval. I know on audis you can tell it if you used conventional or synthetic motor oil as well. Our ‘17 pacifica has the oil life buried a couple pages deep in the information

Amen. Oil is cheap relative to the repairs neglecting it can bring.

If you keep to under 3 years on the financing, you shouldn’t need it, you’ll be paying enough off quick enough that you’ll not be upside down for long, and in the case of used cars, you won’t be upside down at all, so no need for the gap coverage. If you’re stretching it out over 5-6 years, you’re Not doing it right,

Yeah our audi dealer has plates on hand too. You can leave with a plated vehicle if you like. Pretty cool.

That’s how my experiences have been as well. Very non pushy and accommodating when we wanted to test drive vehicles.

It is true, hell Chrysler offers lifetime warranties now too. They are expensive, but if you plan to drive the vehicle in the ground, they’d be a good value. Less than the cost of a trans replacement.

Actually, most new cars have 10k intervals. Audi does a 5k for the first one, then 10k after that. So you’d only get two oil changes under that scenario, but be close to needing a third change. I had an 06 sts with the oil life monitor, and it would regularly go over 10k before reaching the change oil message.

Ball-less politicians though... nobody want to be that person that approved higher taxes because they are sissies that don’t seem interested in doing the right thing, just figuring out how to keep their job for another term. Fuck those guys. If they could just do the right thing, we’d be better for it.

Your comment brings up a good point. Pretty original with a new trans and rear axles.... at what point does the term original no longer apply? Genuinely curious as I have a 99 Dakota RT that is begging for a power train swap with something newer and more powerful. I pride myself in keeping it running and maintain

I stand corrected... that was many moons ago for sure.

Are you sure? I swear it’s double b a

Up down up down left right left right b a b a select start...

My high school youth pastor told me once that a loud stereo is no replacement for a good personality. That’s kinda of stuck with me over the years. Anytime I have a passenger the volume is turned way down.

I’m just glad newer cars have better stereos. I’ve still got stereo system v3.0 in my 99 Dakota. Its due for a refresh. But my newer cars, meh, I don’t even bother. They are nice enough from the factory.

Love the previous rs5, and those wheels just look.... right.

I’m sure I could make all that fit in my 99 Dakota RT. And bonus, is get a new leather wrapped steering wheel. Any idea the cost? The site is down.

We’ve also increased miles traveled too, at least I thought I read that, due to lower fuel prices and all. Is the 7% adjusted for miles traveled?

I think that’s a false equivalency. We also have put full on computers into the hands of everyone in this same period. Smartphones have become a huge distraction on the roads. Sure it helps to know your car will hit the brakes for you, but there are a crap ton of folks out there without the fancy features on their

It’s a great idea and the right approach, but it is far easier to change the hardware rather than the dummy behind the wheel. Drivers are getting dumber and worse as a whole, less attentive as well. We, that frequent this site are in the minority, so anything that will make the roads better for me to drive

Thank you. We all have our preferences, don’t rag on a person cause they “didn’t buy the right car”. Choices, it’s what makes this whole car thing worthwhile.
