*I* wanted to hug them and I was sitting across from them! They were legitimately so upset. It was unreal. Restored my faith in humanity. And bros.

We do. It’s an ongoing process.
Calling all desperate LA wannabe-celeb girls: the sweetest bearding gig in all the land just opened.
He had the pain of a 60 year old with advanced dementia because of CTE
Alex Gibney made a brilliant documentary called The Last Gladiators. It focuses on the “enforcer” era of the NHL in the 90's-00's that culminated in the infamous Marty McSorely assault charge. Gibney explores, in part, how a franchise and its fan push for increasing levels of brutality, but then leave the athletes to…
I can only imagine what Kurt Angles brain looks like.
Yeah Moolah is definitely a legend in American professional wrestling history, but she was also a despicable person.
Mick Foley is a hero of mine. He’s always been known for his near-insane antics, but he’s such a brilliant, kind person, and uses his fame to forward fantastic causes. Every time I hear Tori Amos, I think of Mick Foley.
Thank you. I didn’t know most of that, other than that Chyna was famously kind and good-natured, and it was fascinating. It’s an awful shame that the world has lost such an interesting person so early in her life.
This is the article that I have been waiting for Jezebel to write. Thank you. Out of respect to Chyna, who was and should always be remembered as a beautiful woman, I would like to add even more to what has been told herein.
You’ll find a lot of people saying that Chyna was one of the sweetest members of the WWE that…
Chyna isn’t in the hall because of her prior-relationship with Haitch and her (later recanted) allegations of physical abuse at his hands. She would have gotten in there had she cleaned herself up, even if only for a limited time, see Sunny.
They’ve changed her wikipedia now, but for a while, it said “Chyna (born Joan Marie Laurer; December 27, 1970 – April 17-20, 2016)“ (emphasis mine) because they didn’t know exactly when she died. She died alone and had been dead for a while when she was found. Heartbreaking. Yes, she deserved better
When Ultimate Warrior died, a lot was mentioned about how of the players that faced each other in the 1990 Super Bowl, only 1 had died while of the 1990 Wrestlemania, 12 wrestlers that fought were already dead (and they were a lot less wrestlers than football players in their respective events).
I am willing to bet that they will allow her in the HoF. I would hope so, if not then WWE might experience some outcry from fans. They may choose to ride out the outcry but who knows.
I unashamedly love that movie.
To modern eyes, it has its problematic moments - somewhat casual abuse, sexism, etc - your standard 80s-style shit. But its musical numbers rank up there with anything out of the Hollywood Golden Age. And extra kudos to Prince for making the exurbs of Minneapolis look exotic and magical.
Wow a lot of these responses are insane. I don’t understand why people are going in on her and not Jay Z (unless he’s also getting major criticism that I’m not seeing). He’s the one who seems to have cheated on his wife for Christ’s sake!
In the US, banks make loans to people for houses in bad faith, sometimes expecting them to default (I guess) so they get both the payments and the house. OP said he/she suspected money laundering or other fraud and that wouldn’t be too surprising.
WHAT is WITH the anti-BLM people and internet commenting? it’s like they troll local news stories looking for stories where someone died, and happen to have been black. i wish THEY would all die by firing squad, tbh.
