I think they start off as lonely/horny and then with the help of the man-o-sphere incel sites dig themselves a hole where the only voices they’ll listen to are crazy ones

It’s a very culturally taught thing too because there’s those negative stereotypes if you break rank:
Yeah the main problem is that the comments on movies or one off reviews like this (not the worse example of when to use them though I would’ve loved reviews for each of the kids’ stories) are like half people asking if they should watch and they likely would be upset at spoilers
I mean yes we need to address men too and other areas.... but abortion is the economy. It’s so many things. And I can tell a lot of people are scared and offended, not even just women. I think the big key is to figure out how to address men who are kind of bothered by the Roe v Wade loss and don’t feel moved to act…
I mean they really dialed down the violence but Gorr was supposed to be a parable about how you can be sympathetic but go to far by not thinking about the fact that others can have a different experience than yours. He enslaved people and devastated others, ultimately destroying a lot because he put his pain onto…
I mean have you seen the people with Punisher stickers? Though I don’t think liking children’s characters is inherently wrong- children can have good taste and things can work on multiple levels. I would say Moore’s work on Lost Girls revealed that he didn’t really get some of those classic things “just for children”.…
Yeah- and realism vs fantasy was kind of a theme of the piece so I thought that worked in its favor. Even if yeah that last scene had me asking some questions (wish every review had a little offshoot spoiler discussion section for that stuff but stupid kinja)
Yeah the basement was a bit unsatisfying (especially that teaser thing at the end) but I took it as having a more realistic approach
It’s the same audience more or less just a few more happy/less horrory (like there’s sci fi and stuff with happy endings) stories among the anthology. I wouldn’t go in expecting it to be quite as scary as Hill House but more grounded scary with the cancer stuff
I mean maybe not the guy who died? But yeah “Blue Lives Matter” probably won’t care about this. The Blue Wall crushes its own
They never mean therapy when they talk about solving “mental health”. They mean shooting “crazy people”, blocking “unhealthy” things like mentioning anything serious in school and “Jebus”.
Their way of “solving” the mental health crisis is letting police shoot people having psychiatric emergencies
I’m picturing one of those Final Fantasy summons with a crazy amount of wings and legs. Lizzo would make a good party member
She made beautiful music with that dick which is a brag if I ever heard one
Yeah- even the twerking works as she’s playing beautifully and twerking is a descendent of traditional African dances. It would make him so mad and that’s great. History is cool
It will be the only thing it manages to do without falling over
They’re also exactly the ones who complain about “welfare babies” as if all babies aborted were middle class white ones
Because they don’t care. Because you will have an article solely about wanted pregnancies needing termination after testing that can only be done after 6 weeks or 12 weeks and there will be men in the comments saying “Why did they have sex without protection then?”. Because it’s easier to hate women for being whores th…
I mean he’s also *literally* entitled... I guess that’s where the word comes from?
I mean monarchs that weren’t “born to the position” pretty much happened a long time ago and usually that was by killing a whole bunch of people so IDK if it’s better. In a way, it’s just a problem inherent in the concept of royalty
