I mean she had some cool animals but you needed someone who was more of an animal nerd to be like “this is how they nest!”. I’ve read plenty of stuff about dragons with that tone where they make up all kinds of details. Or stuff like Dinotopia where they used dinosaurs creatively.

Yeah, even the first one barely spent any time with each creature and just ran around the whole time. It would have been better to have it like Jurassic Park where the focus was on how cool a specific animal was

I think it’s all of them- there was a decent amount of buzz from the first movie (I found the plotting very confusing but still) but the sort of fans who didn’t care so much about plot and cared more about shipping and cute sensitive white boys were also out as soon as the transphobia came out. And even without the

I mean I loved going there as a kid, they had lots of fun rides and I liked the ‘tour’ where you got chocolate at the end. It’s not as much a coaster park but not everyone likes coasters.

Press Y to rethink life.

I agree about Hailey’s dress but I love the pastel embellishments on SZA’s

Also I just recently read an article about current female businesswomen that are struggling to get funding for their ventures because of Holmes. That impact is going to be real and is probably going to be around for a while

Yeah- 2013 was 9 years ago, almost a full decade ago. I don’t think this is really that ‘recent’ a story

I think especially a show as good as The Dropout is good at talking about how the “believe in yourself” ethos of Silicon Valley and VCs can lead to ruin considering we still have a lot of useless pet projects out there

I read an article about a girl who attended the Hershey School whose family was broken apart because her otherwise loving father/’stepfather’ couldn’t pay the bills. Because of this she self-destructed and ended up losing her scholarship and free college tuition. The fact that people are being removed for “can’t pay

I think analyzing how we treat neglect is the most important thing. Physical and sexual abuse is already pretty hard to get a removal for and kids should absolutely be able to get out of a house where they are being beaten or molested. But removals bc a parent can’t pay the electric bill shouldn’t happen and waste

I absolutely loved the opener of Holmes and Sunny getting in the groove of their ever increasing success while Heroes played. I always love that song, but it kind of served as a thesis for the episode that what was coming now was that people would have to be brave to take these monsters down. They really did a great

I think women and families should be able to choose what happens with the medical remains of abortions and miscarriages. If she stole them (which I’m assuming), then she went against the wishes of the patients who chose to have them disposed of. It would also be pretty disturbing if someone was rummaging through the

Oh yeah, I don’t think thongs even look that good on me, they just accentuate cellulite. Bikini cuts can be good but they are all cut differently

I guess it depends on how it fits- I’d love to have some less restrictive shapewear that doesn’t make me feel like I’m dying so I can wear it more than very special occasions (and I only really like this one actual Spanx piece I have which straps into my bra and doesn’t ride). But yeah I’d be way more into a swimwear

Yes, she was the one who didn’t understand why her mother wouldn’t stand up to her father

Yeah The Dropout is much more effective at showing what made people believe in Holmes and also shows you how she digs her own grave and drags others down with her. Inventing Anna had so much nonsense from the beginning like the guy going on a long spiel about why he was putting himself in danger of being disbarred bc

Ugh yeah Inventing Anna is so bad. The whole “she scammed people at 27, I could barely tie my shoes at 27" line was so cringe. They act like she was special when she was really just your typical lying sociopath scamming rich people for once

I think a lot of this could have been improved by their dialogue including subtitles that mocked Higgins’s character making it clear who the joke was about in that scene

It definitely is. The vast majority of stuff they’ve banned is either because someone said something about a group they’re hurting, was LGBT, or was ‘too popular’ or some other nonsense. Even the tax dodging stuff is a bit dubious
