Seriously one of these years they should do an April Fools episode where all 90 minutes is one super long roll call with increasingly bizarre ‘new cast members’

Seriously- my dad keeps jumping to it being some hyper-progressive writer who doesn’t like Biden, but the nasty way Biden is portrayed doesn’t match up with the typical complaints from progressives about him being too centrist, too corporate, and too pro-cop. I rarely see anything from that side calling him weak and

Have his politics been confirmed anywhere? I mean there’s obviously at least one libertarian writer on staff- I suspect it’s the same as whoever wrote that thanksgiving “native americans are racist towards white people only white people *are* going to take over their nation” sketch with Will Ferrell. I really wish

Yeah I think you’re right. Maybe another script hiccup? Honestly despite explaining the boy being kind of needless I also wish they explained more? Like when did the Wingraves get the house? Are they related to the Lloyds or did they just buy it?

I mean the standing by itself could easily be the little ghost boy holding it up. I’d figured Flora probably made it since she was the one who made all the dolls? She made the dolls in the dollhouse, the little boy moved them

Yeah Jost was mostly fine- though that joke about what happened to the Lt. Governor of PA’s wife and calling it “allegedly” despite their being a video of the woman saying it to her were pretty sucky

Honestly his Biden is just every Carey character in a movie where he was allowed to chew scenery indiscriminately.

Eventually the whole show will just be that cast roll call they have at the beginning of the show

It’s like “Gerald Ford is clumsy”, but nastier

Seriously Jim Carrey’s Biden *sucks*- at least Colbert’s has some of Biden’s spirit and flair. Carrey’s is an obviously Libertarian-written doddering old person. That or someone is just super ageist. It’s really such an awful portrayal

Maybe after a while the servants knew not to walk around at night? That’s another thing I would have liked mentioned instead of the needless showing of the deaths of the first two ghosts

Rebecca possessed Flora so that Flora would die while she was in the memory with her mother instead of having to experience getting drowned by a creepy ghost.

Yeah I assumed the little boy was moving them around as a warning system to protect people.

Yeah I’d probably give it a B - most of it was good and I still loved this take on a ghost standing in for depression. I liked that the Lady of the Lake was tamed by Dani’s sacrifice and the line “and Dani would *never*”. The part about the people at the wedding all actually being in the story was kind of weird - even

Yeah I liked that too- it was a very interesting and creepy view of the afterlife, especially considering most ghosts seem to go back to memories of their loved ones. She was bitter and cruel to her sister and Ambrose in her final years and only managed to have sympathy for her clothes going to her daughter- and

Jeesh- yeah it’s hard to wrap your head around spending like that but it exists

Yup- it’s amazing whenever you read a case about corruption or embezzlement and they mention something like the restaurant bills they were charging- it’s easy to clear $200 in a single night if you want to be a big shot and have a lot of people you want to impress

Yeah I did like the part where you saw Viola in the scene with Perdita and Ambrose dancing and you thought she was already a ghost, but bam! she’s just actually super super sick and the part about sending Death away too much was a nice touch to explain why she was so much stronger than the other ghosts, especially

Yeah they could have easily explained that part in the time it took to do one of the many wake/walk segments or the other ghosts which really didn’t need to be explained

Yeah- though long lasting tuberculosis back in the day when medicine meant leeches would have really sucked.
