Fascinating, I guess I'm on the pop-side as well. There are people who didn't just loop Parade & Cherry Lips over and over? I'll be damned.

My love of Garbage is basically solo with my albums, so I'm always vaguely baffled when I hear the wider critical judgment on various albums. Beautifulgarbage is my personal favorite and it's criminally underrated?! My god, I've never been on the cutting edge of anything in my life

I enjoy it during pop culture events (basically the Super Bowl) because it provides a rapid fire conduit of the most hilarious jokes, commentary, sarcasm etc.

LeGuin is and always shall be my first, brightest, and strongest literary crush. I was able to catch one of her readings and was basically enraptured. By poetry. This is not normal for me.

What's your verdict on Bravely Second? I enjoyed the first one but got bogged down (before getting to the part that everyone else got bogged down at. Damn you old age!)

I just downloaded it last week and put 45 minutes into the tutorial and got my Science ships smashed by what I thought were peaceful aliens in the system next door. Perhaps the red color should have been a clue.

So I have always enjoyed Garbage, probably one of my all time favorites. But whatever the hell they released in 2011 left me really cold. The Empty single above has rekindled some faith. Anyone else have similar reaction(s)?

And nothing west of Missouri?

But my glorious generalization!!!!

I feel ya! I keep wanting a pivot table so I can optimize the search easier. Also, how the hell does my tiny island on Ireland even know the NAMES of minor nobility in Hungary. Limit my choices please!!!

Do you have any hints on how to not go crazy playing CK2? I want to love that game so much but I get dragged down into insane minutia trying play matchmaker and breed in some decent traits. Am I doing it wrong or is that the game?

The power of FF7 comes from it being your 'first', as in 'first epic story with characterization, sweeping visuals, layered plot' etc. etc. I'm pretty sure it's nearly a perfect 1:1 mapping of FF6 & FF7 partisans to which one they played first.

Doesn't that sort of interplay with the false sense of adulthood that all teenagers feel? It's an old trope of jrpgs where an 18 year old is a grizzled veteran and twenty somethings cheerfully refer to themselves as making way for the new generation. But, dammit, that's how it feels in high school. Those seniors are

Better to actually be Auron than aspire to be Tidus.

I could never, ever get the hang of the'plus' rule. Laguna always wrecked me.

Amen brother. My Clown deck was KILLER.

Oh I totally agree, I love the little micro communities around each site and I think gameological is one of the most fun. I was aiming for irony with my comment but in the wind sometimes my shots fall short.

Ever mention of Kurbio's Shoe is the best mention. upupdowndown whatever whatever is too mainstream man.

Part of the glory of magic is that the right card turns you into Timmy for that moment you stick the 6/6 flying soul of prime material plane, or whatever.

I enjoyed trying to get better at Starcraft II, but I simply could not crack Diamond to save my life. It was never ever going to happen and I'm happier for not trying.
