you used those comparisons to diminish the concerns of american women,right? we all know that there are worser (it's a word!) places for women to live but that fact doesn't make the concerns of women in western societies trivial. they all matter.

use something comparable like: it's legal in the us to have sex with children (17—14 in some states. please lawd,don't let it be any lower. old enough to "go" with an adult but not smoke,drink and drive?) or the epidemic of rape in this advanced,civilized country of ours.
