The tide has certainly turned. The racing world can surely see a gain from this. What a fab idea. What dynamo came up with this? What tools did they have at their disposal to build this vehicle, presumably an arm and hammer?

This post contains the requisite amount of Simpsons references. Well done sir. A cromulent job all around.

I used to be a huge subaru homer and recommend them to everyone, but after our last one, I fear that time has come to an end.

Can we get the Wilpon family the number of someone else running a pyramid scheme? Not asking for a friend.

Well you know what they say.... The first tractor race happened the day the second tractor was made.

I don’t mind the king cobras. They are just cheesy enough. The base models and ghias though, those things were horrendous.

Pinto, only because it came in GLORIOUS Country Squire trim. I mean, LOOK AT THOSE SEATS. (Yes I know I posted two different cars)

So many good COTD candidates today, but this one might take it.

Yeah the only rub on that plan is if you move the short track race too far into the playoff schedule, Watkins Glen gets a wee bit cold. I would totally be in for a super weekend with IMSA though. The 6 hour race is a blast. Adding a cup race to that weekend? That would be an absolute dream come true.

I don’t hate this. My brain is imploding.

I 100% get that argument. I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing the Glen twice on the schedule, one short one long.

If this isn’t COTD I don’t know what’s real anymore.

See NASCAR? This works and people like it.. Now run the boot at the Glen!

Now THAT is an unlikely pairing of career highlights.

Also great things to do:

Seems pretty on brand. Callaway will get Willie Randolphed and then at some point an expensive veteran will have a hissy fit and go full Derek Bell “Operation Shutdown.” Robinson Cano, we’re looking at you for that one.

Nah, bring in Bobby Bonilla as manager. They’re paying him anyway!

Rob’s on a well deserved vacation this week. Your regularly scheduled programming will return next week.

RIP Cacti. You were too cool for your own time. Maybe one day your weirdness will be celebrated globally, instead of among us weirdos.

Ooooh.. Is this a new feature on the site? I dig it.
