It wasn't exactly a secret. The contract runs out at the end of the year. There has always been an expiration date. With that said, I do hope someone runs a privateer/customer program.

So is this considered P90X for your liver?

If a local newscaster approached me in high school and said I was going to be on TV and all I had to do was huck stuff at junkyard cars, I’d probably consider that the best day of my life. That wouldn’t have been a tough sell

The Passport isn’t exactly a good example though, considering it was a rebadged Isuzu in its first incarnation. I don’t think that name is sacred.

I just killed one in 6 years and 100k miles. Either I got a lemon or the trend is heading that way.

Just traded in my second straight subaru that had major transmission issues at 100k miles. This one had the added bonus of burning oil too.

Your under warranty remarks are spot on. I’m kinda over subaru until they clean up their act.

I’d pay 41k for a Diesel CX9 with decent power.

I’d settle for a gas powered one. I love the 6 wagon.

They better not release that as a build it yourself option like a Caterham. Otherwise it will be a Sports Utility Car Kit. That truly will be the SUCK.

The 2.5 turbo CX5 drives extremely well too. Cross shopped one vs a Honda CRV. The CRV is bigger, but the Mazda drives a ton better.

If it is the same problem that killed the diesel 6 in the USA, it is the balance between efficiency and performance. They were committed to not using a urea system, and eventually they scrapped the plans to bring the diesel 6 over. They couldn’t get it to meet the US emissions standards and still have it perform the

My grandfather had one of these. It was maroon with a maroon interior and maroon velour. The thing screamed 80's. It also blew head gaskets and lunched a few catalytic converters too.

Those seats may be some of the most uncomfortable front seats ever unleashed upon mankind. In addition to my transmission blowing two synchros at 100k, it was one of the main reasons I jettisoned my 04 fozzer.

A neighbor of mine had a grey one of these with the custom plate “justav6"

This car started it all for me. My Uncle had one one I was growing up. It was an 88 GXL coupe. I thought it was a spaceship as a kid. He took me for a ride in it and I never forgot it.

I84 through Waterbury has been under construction my entire life.

That’s probably what it would end up being. My original comment contained a lot of blind optimism.

I wouldn’t mind a subsidized model like amazon kindle pricing. 20k for the vehicle without ads, 30k if you want no ads.

Hartford can’t support an NHL team. CT is shrinking, it is between two major NHL markets (three if you count the Islanders) and the arena in Hartford is not a pro caliber facility. Some would argue that it wasn’t in the 90's either.

Storm Duck has to get through Manchester United MacGuyver. That’s a tough draw.
