They weighed about 2100 pounds though, which is a featherweight by modern standards. They weren’t quick, but they weren’t supposed to be.
I still love Paganis though. It’s basically what a car would look like if you sat an 8 year old down with 8 liters of Mountain Dew and a sketch pad.
The base models yeah.. A moderately equipped Crosstrek is in the 26 range. The 9500 in 87 was for a loaded tercel 4x4 wagon.. And man those things had goofy character.. And sometimes PLAID SEATS.
This made me laugh probably more than it should have.
Now you’ve sent me down the rabbit hole. I’m doing inflation stats on the old tercel 4x4 wagons. $9,588 in 1987 is roughly 21k in 2019 money. Would I buy a new 4x4 tercel wagon for 21k today? YOU BET.
Hilariously the Corolla is the only one with a 3rd pedal.
He numbed my eye, and then scraped the rust off with the end of a syringe.
Hard to find outside of Ohio, but Cleveland Stadium Mustard is a worthy candidate.

I enjoy bourbon a great deal and I have family in TN. It is 100% on my to do list
You, friend, have magnificent ideas.
Early Avanti II’s weren’t bad. They were about as close as you could get to the originals and at least still used the Studebaker chassis. When they became Monte Carlos, that was when the trouble started.
I had the Bunratty Potcheen brand and my feelings are similar. I think it was only consumed on a dare.
When I lived in Philly someone in my neighborhood had just purchased one of the 90's F body based “avantis”.

There’s a couple of distilleries around here that do “white whiskey” and “moonshine”. I’ve tried a few of them (Onyx, Full Moonshine) and I’ve attempted to like it. I didn’t like it straight, and it didn’t add much as a mixer.
Man I love that show. Maury might be the best character created in the past 5 years.
I used to hate minivans until I drove one. The drivers seat is great. They have all sorts of tech toys. The v6 in the Sienna isn’t a dog. Tons of space inside. It’s a pasty overweight suburban dad’s dream. That’s kinda my demographic presently.
Preach brother. When I looked at a Sienna, the salesguy was hot to get me to test drive a highlander. “You’ll like this better.” No, guy, I won’t like it better. If I wanted a highlander I’d tell you I’d like to test one. I’m not paying more money for less vehicle. Bring me a minivan or I leave.
I was about to make a comment about the price being horrifying, until I looked up how much a 1988 Volvo 760 wagon cost new. MSRP was 32,350. Adjusted for inflation, that comes out to about 69k now.
