True enough, my friend. I was waiting for someone to bring up the LS swap. I’ve driven a few v8 swapped miatas. Hilariously fun. Not something I think I’d want to own, but I’m certainly glad I got the opportunity to hoon one for a few hours.

Never said they shouldn’t. I just said there is fun to be had in their current capacity and current configuration.
Back in the 80's that seemed to be more of an issue. Most modern cars I haven’t had a problem with headroom/sunroofs. My last few dailys have had one, and I didn’t have any issue. I’m slightly over 6 feet tall. 6'5+, I could see the problem.
Agreed. I would not want any of those as a primary vehicle. The RX-8 would probably be the most livable, but there are still quite a few shortfalls for daily driving duty.
All three were criticized for similar reasons. I still find all three fun. They each have their own purpose. Long drives, highway cruising, and drag racing are not among them.
DCF tends to frown on that though. Especially if you leave them a lot of different places by themselves.
1990: This Miata is too slow. Who would want this thing? It isn’t fast. You really have to wind out the engine.
I have a convertible. I agree. Sunroofs in normal vehicles are handy though.. Especially when the 4 year old in the back seat rips a fart that is outlawed by the Geneva Convention.
So if I’m reading this correctly, roof curvature on large expanses of glass is partly to blame? Yup.. As if I needed any more reasons to buy a Flex. RECTANGLE POWER.
I have been looking for a place to store honeydew melons. I suddenly have a great idea.
I had a 97.. Your experience sounds similar to mine. The accidental features of mine were needing to smack the bottom of the steering wheel with your fist to turn on the windshield wipers, the car cutting out completely on too steep of a hill, and an automatic transmission that shifted..... sometimes... It also had…
It is cool and all, but really how much of that power is really usable. Id rather save 15 grand and get a lightly used SS under warranty
The Expo was one of the most useful vehicles ever created. The sliding seat row was a game changer.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Joe McEwing get a phone call. It would give me an excuse to dig my #47 jersey out of the closet. Right now the only reason I do that is to make people say “They actually made a jersey of that guy?”
When I get F you money, either this or a Tercel SR5 will occupy a slot in my garage. Please can we return to the days of peculiar 4wd wagons? The Subarus of the world aren’t weird enough. Neither are the CX3's and HRVs of the world. We need more tall 4wd wagons. I know nobody will buy them because NOT A CROSSOVER..…
Your Kinja handle is entirely too appropriate for this comment.
Clicked for the Dead Milkmen joke. Left satisfied.
Presumably... An engineer put a vaguely cupholder shaped object in the center console of this vehicle, only to think “what have I done, surely drinks will not fit there!!” Instead of covering it up and just making it a smooth piece of plastic, he said “I know how to solve this, I’ll put a NO DRINKS indicator just…
+1 for blue fast fridge. I want a boostflex just like the one pictured.
