He's not. He's describing the empty space where you pull the car into as a "hole." The same way you can have a hole in a wall.
Don't know about The A.V. Club, but that definitely sums up everything that's happened in the world of video games in the last couple months.

C'mon! Car-hold is maybe something you'd hear in bad sci-fi, but makes zero sense in the context of the show, for that character, for his dialogue. The joke is that Moe is utterly crass to the bone, and nothing says crass more than calling places where things go "holes" as in calling the mouth a "food hole" or "pie…
This whole endeavor is just Rupert Murdoch attempting to show viewers that society needs benevolent overlords like him.
