In their defence - there is next to no precedence of such an onslaught at launch. I've been living in Germany for 25 years, I've never seen anything as bad as this. The last gen launches were harmless compared to that.

I remember that show - Super Toy Club, aired on Super RTL, for 6 years. God I envied those kids.

Ahhhh fun times. I remember the Xbox 360 launch, back when I was still living in Germany.

When the Media Markt opened, there were about 40-50 people there, together with me. The SKUs hadn't even been brought to the floor yet, so everyone was waiting in front of the storage door. A poor woman drove out a cart with a

Ok, I went through all comments (so far) and have to wonder - am I the only one thinking "evil mastermind thought control device"?

I'm missing Galilei Donna here. I wasn't sure about it for the first few episodes, but by now it's grown on me. It's got just the right mix of characters, it's funny, and it can be very tragic as seen in the last two episodes.

To this date, I have no idea how my parents got their hands on a am expensive mahjong set, especially as they were not really interested in Asian culture, but we had a Chinese set with real bamboo backs and played regularly. This set looks sweet.

No self-respecting mahjong player would ever use something like that. You may be thinking Rummycub.

The 7th guest was the sole reason of anyone using the CD-i that my mother won in a raffle. It was quite an experience back then as well and got her into games - so yeah, pretty much planning to back this

Maybe I should pick it up again... I was even more annoyed with the cutesy innocence than some of the characters in the show, and the sub plots felt so disconnected from each other...

Tanuki lose the ability to transform in a cage or in highly unsettling situations, like when he saw Benten. He was drunk. His brother sold him off to the Friday fellows. All of that is explained in the series and make sense.

Yeah, but that doesn't fit, even if you base it on ancient Japanese culture. Tanuki are by definition active - they enjoy life, they do stupid things, they constantly change form, they grief for others and obviously strive for respectable places in human and Tanuki societies, given their very rich assets. They possess

There is one thing that irked me to no end - and that is this irrational fear of the Friday Fellows. Tanuki can turn into anything - hell, one of them turned into a whole mountain! It should be easy for them to get rid of them.
