What do we get from this? Does it make us feel better about ourselves to show that every person out there is a whited sepulchre that we need to drag down and display how full of turpitude they REALLY are?

The story it is based on (Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang) made me misty when I read it about a decade ago. I recommend it if you like a story with a good heart-punch.

Yeah, I think they. Are really easy to put down once you hit that age. Although, I am 34 and just finished having a blast with Suikoden 2 for the first time.

Red Dwarf is the best kind of comedy scifi. Also, if you haven’t read the novella “Story of Your Life” on which Arrival was based, you are missing out on some really amazing work.
