I don’t know if peanut butter is more accessible in Europe today but in the mid 80s, my parents took a trip to the US and brought back a ton of American snacks. Among them, a jar of Jiffy smooth peanut butter. I never had it before. HOWEVER, the French dubbed version of Sesame Street often had a mention of “beurre de

This is a story about me meeting my partner’s parents rather than the reverse, but I hope it still counts.

The layer of oil on top is the worst. Until you get to the layer of dry peanut chalk at the bottom, then that’s the worst.

But 1) they collected this data without consent or notice, 2) their intent for collecting the data may not be “jerking off” but it is highly sensitive information that, particularly combined with other information, could be used in completely unacceptable and invasive ways, 3) dollars to donuts it wasn’t adequately

Or have a headache.

But customers were not aware, and that data can be shared. It’s a super creepy violation of privacy, and potentially damaging. What if a company purchases the advertising information, ties that data to your email address, and is like “oh hey I see that your device activated during working hours. FIRED” or it’s used in

I’m in the same boat. But how does one even go about claiming it?

yes duh

I got one and (tried to) used the app... it was terrible (it would not keep connection) so I stopped using it. Now I am debating whether to submit a claim... should I?

... which, combined, reveal intimate information about the user’s sexual habits.

I saw this story on another news site, which pointed out that the app links the collected info with specific email accounts. So creepy.

Ewwwww. My parents would only buy that natural crunchy nonsense (Adam’s brand) that separates so there’s just a oil layer on the top

You are both apostates! The correct peanut butter is neither creamy nor crunchy, but gritty - right out of the grinding machine. And hold the dextrose, thanks! When I was a kid (in the 60s) we spent a lot of time in Europe and my sister and I begged for (and were denied) peanut butter. We eventually discovered

I moved to Europe a few years ago and was stunned to learn I was stunned to learn peanut butter is an American thing only. It was pretty much impossible to find in Brussels.

I feel like it’s really weird that it hasn’t gotten picked up by a streaming service like the mindy project did. Seems like such an easy choice, the show still has a following. When Hulu picked up the reruns I got my hopes up they might be getting ready to reboot it but nope.

Pretty sure she’s always been called Jess never Jesse

Always fake, and I think they even called her out of it in the script.

Happy Endings being cancelled is something I’m still sad about. The worst part is it was getting so good at the point they pulled the plug. The characters were fleshed out and funny and charming, the writers were building clever arcs. And yet Modern Family drags its carcass through another season.

This show, I watch episodes here and there and it keeps reminding me that Happy Endings is over and I miss it more and more.

Same here but then again, Jess was the weakest character imo. Also, somewhat related, I once went to see Camera Obscura open for She & Him and decided to just stay and see them since we were already there. They were pretty awful and the audience was 80% girls wearing modcloth dresses with heavy bangs. The
