Keep in mind that the Thor 2 tie-in was them cleaning up the post-battle rubble, and introducing an Asgardian character who had nothing to do with the movie.

I agree with the "uncanny valley" effect.
I wouldn't hate this show so much if it was better, or if it was worse (lowered expectations).

Agree with not Whedony enough.

For global warming, I think he is thinking about statistics/science they way that most Americans do: at worst expect the average; on average expect above average; and if the climate is getting warmer globally then expect that every local weather must be getting warmer every day.

I've watched all the episodes. I don't think there is any harm in checking out the first two seasons. Like Lord Gaga and Serenyty say, it is amusing and enjoyable, but not an amazing cerebral crime series or anything like that.

"That gal's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on her."

Reminds me of late in the season Survivor, when the limited nutrition takes its toll. The two surgical attachments are unchanged, while the rest of the body withers away.

"What's an ark?" - Bill Cosby's Noah (link to YouTube)

"Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and unto God what is God's."

I was thinking of that when I wrote "Even if the original plan wasn't to use Spikeā€¦"

Maybe she was the model for the CGI aliens, but unfortunately her drugged-up days made the producers go with something tamer.

Jar-Jar Binks.
He annoyed the Senate enough for them to spite the Naboo delegation.

socialist, liberal = bad (or at the very least, anything that is unpopular in the polls must be this)

I think it was always in the plan, and not a change in course or apology.

I think they should do a Roundtable.
Sonia gets to pick any episode that she previously had to review, and the other AV writers are forced to watch it to see if she was exaggerating. (Most likely they would be in Clockwork Orange chairs.)

For some reason, I thought he met a 10 meter caterpillar, with the idea that it would take nine seasons for it to develop into Mothra.

Maybe you can explain why the SyFy abomination decided that Ged was his use name, while Sparrowhawk was his true name. Talk about changing things for no reason other than to be different.
