I suspect at least some of the resentment is when a comparison is made that it doesn't look as good as films that have twice the shooting time and five times the budget. Those sort of comparisons are reasonable yet unfair, if you see what I mean.

It will only be in theaters in limited release. If you don't want to watch it with an audience, you can always download/DVD it immediately after watching the series.
The opening credits for the Rifleman begin with him firing a bunch of shots in succession. For whatever reason, it reminds me of SCTV's Yellowbelly, shooting wildly at widows and small children because he is startled.
I seem to remember a Fantastic Four comic (when Byrne was writing/drawing) where the seductress had super-powered male-control make-up. She turned out to be less-than-average looks with way too much make-up.
I think you mean James Marsden as "Cyclops".
James Marsters was "Spike" on Angel and Buffy.
Veronica had plans to go to a school far away, until her mom squashed those plans. Assuming Hearst gave her a healthy scholarship, largely due to the pull of that Hearst administrator in the jury room.

Never read it CitR either. (I do remember that I read "The Scarlet Letter" and "Death of a Salesman", but don't recall any actual details.) But then again, I never had summer reading either.
"Two peanuts ver walking down the strasse.
One was assaulted… peanut… hur hur hurr."
Lords of Light!
I would have written "who is Steven Sondheim?". I assume that would be marked as an incorrect answer, even though it sounds right.
I was amused that the programmers had a commercial for "Noah's Ark" immediately after Bruno was martyred for questioning the "literal truth" of the Bible.
Still have two more years to get Ollie back to where he started.
"Mr. Bennett, this is 505 Maple St, not 509 Maple."
"Hmm… I did wonder why I didn't recognize anyone. Sorry about the mess… My bad."
"We found the officer unconscious next to the smoking remains of his police cruiser. We think he was writing a traffic citation, but we are having trouble pulling his notepad from out of his colon."
That's not how I read that.
People would still grieve, but there would be better coping tools.
The network also had problems with a female first officer (in the original pilot), and wanted Spock gone early on. Gene was the one who insisted that he would popular (particularly with female fans), and was correct.
