I don't know why I hate Pan like I do
All the trouble that he put me through
Take my money, my red parrot
I haven't seen the worst of it yet
I wanna know that you'll tell me
I love to stay (in Neverland)

When you say she is a key figure, do you mean in organizing the resistance, or why Betazed fell in only 10 hours?
I dunno.
If the female Changeling is going to be mean to a simple tailor like Garak, then I think the Romulans are headed for a world of hurt in the future. (It was a joint Obsidian Order/Tal Shiar assault.)
Like Brooks the actor becoming Professor Brooks of the Jazz department.
It's a shame there aren't more substances that can inhibit warp speed. We could have had the "Silly Putty Directive", or the "Cheesy Taco Melt Directive".
You got me curious, so I looked it up on Memory Alpha. The Maquis stole "two Bolian freighters carrying several thousand tons of selenium and rhodium nitrite", so it is NO for that.
Ah, but Sisko did try to collapse the wormhole (before the war started). He was only foiled by Changeling treachery, that now makes it impossible to collapse it.
I'm going off topic, but I like Brook's acting when he has Sisko imitating his dad. "Either the soufflé will raise, or it won't. Not a damn thing you can do about it." (I could hear Brock Peters voice in those lines.)
It just occurred to me that Vreenak might have just spent the past few days on Soukara speaking with Weyoun. Maybe that explains why Vreenak was in such a gentile mood on DS9: "Captain, the Vorta are skilled negotiators… what a bunch of assholes!"
"I may be only a bodyguard, but dammit Vreenak, if you don't stop complaining about that StarFleet captain, I'm going to blow up this shuttle to get you to stop!"
If Garak wanted to, I'm guessing that he could reprogram the shuttle so that saying "one authentic kali-fal" into the replicator would instead overload the artificial singularity. Except Garak was limited by needing the rod to survive and that bomb parts had to be discovered.
"I told the Captain I would have this diagnostic done in an hour."
"And how long will it really take you?"
"An hour!"
"Oh, you didn't tell him how long it would really take, did you?"
"Of course I did."
"Oh, laddie, you have a lot to learn if you want people to think of you as a miracle worker!"
I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!
I'll disagree, on two counts.
Another nuance… the way the exposition pacing is handled. The audience gets to hear Vreenak's resume, but it doesn't go on for too long when Garak realizes that Sisko is familiar with the man.
Garak was *very* specific about saying that the rod surviving would be "miraculous".
The New Odd Couple, staring Weyoun and Kurn.
Dammit, I was going to mention "A Simple Plan", but I couldn't remember the exact title.
The man got to ride around with a young Heather Locklear in a police cruiser. I think he is doing fine.
Instead of "gut-punch", don't you mean "face-punch"?
