You berate and harass gamers and people in the video game industry for sexualizing women. Yet, you post this without hesitation and second thought as if you are an exception to your own preaching. The Graphic images should have never been taken down; the whole article should have been removed. Kotaku’s hypocrisy is

Funny that Kotaku would take out the offending content here, but still refused to take out the article about the Persona song saying an ableist slur.

Readers are understandably uncomfortable about these kinds of depictions of characters who are often depicted as or thought of as teenagers.”

Uh, in the case of Hermione there, she WAS a teenager. That model is of a teenage actress who wasn’t of age at the time the model was made. There’s no ‘depiction’.  There’s no

Kotaku y’know I’m pretty lenient on alot of the shenanigans ya’ll sometimes post but this article needs to be nuked and redone with more research and sensitivity to the subject matter. Yeah I poke fun at alot of terrible porn with my mates but not enough to justify an article as flimsy as this.

Nowhere did I make the connection that people who produce this kind of fetish material, or material I find disagree with/doesn’t pander to my set of morals or kinks, are they themselves abusers. I think making that kind of connection, and then arguing that anyone who enjoys or creates those kind of things endorse said

This article is fucking gross, TBH. Kate should be fired for this.

boy was this article a fail. You should honestly just take it down.

Kotaku: Greedfall is bad for depicting colonialism

People have always been upset about porn, sure. ITS LIKE...THE BAITIEST ARTICLE

Editor’s Note: This story originally included screenshots from the Harry Potter and Pokemon animated porn parodies. We’ve removed those images after readers expressed discomfort over some of the scenes, and believe that words can sufficiently explain the material.

I have never commented in this site in the many years of reading it, because I thought that even with all the stuff going on, there were some worthy articles, particularly those on reporting the conditions of the games industry and all that. I thought that kotaku was a good site in the end.

I have to say as a daily reader of Kotaku, I’m sort of shocked at the decision to run this article, both in its initial state and the state it’s in at this moment. The initial images were far too graphic and portrayed underage characters, which is of questionable legality.

This article really sucks, and that’s after the edit that removed all the pedophilia.

Kotaku has done some good reporting and insightful commentary on the phenomenon in the past. This is not one of those articles and is rather... poorly written.

“Hey buddy wanna come over and watch porn with me? Not for like....sex or anything...I just thought it would be funny.” -Kate Gray

Me @ the entire hot mess this article is, including the fact that nearly all the images you’re showing (arguably) depict minors having sex, which you then...brush past without even really giving a second thought:

Let’s not forget that Dr. Disrespect filmed children in a public bathroom and got what, a three day ban? He should have gotten charges.

I’ve yet to see a game that more specifically caters to the sexual desires of, say, straight women or LGBTQ folks achieving a similar level of mainstream success”
