It is one of the best competitive shooters out there, and you are an idiot if you think similar games don’t have the same issues including bugs that take months to patch.

As someone who has been with FFXIV from the start. Yes even 1.0 I welcome the addition of jump potions. Especially now I can get a few of my friends back to the game who quit before heavensward or after heavensward but before the first patch.
If they didn’t grind out the story quest like I did, they should never be allowed to experience the game!
In all seriousness, the arguments against are pretty ridiculous, especially since FF14 basically demands Jump Potions. You basically hit it on the head, I have had several people I know quit because of the…
Nobody’s forcing people to buy it though and frankly, A LOT of people don’t know what they’re doing at 50+ as it is now.
Life in Aggro—like many others upset about the prospect of the Jump Potions—are just wrong on this one.
FF XIV is unique in that most of its base content is actually locked behind quests. You can’t do specific dungeons until they are unlocked in the questline, you can’t even use an Inn until X level.
Can you imagine…
And the next anime you’re going to suggest is,
Don’t forget Yuri!!! On Ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Ew. The hand wringing in this conversation is a bit gross. “Somebody did something to promote diversity, assemble the diversity jury!”
“Riley: Yeah. I’ve said this to you all before, but I’d rather have no queer or trans characters than just one or just a romantic couple.”
It’s a chance for the staff to circle-jerk each other over how progressive they are.
God damnit kotaku.
I found this conversation interesting but I was also a bit bummed out. I think it’s unfair for Blizzard to put forth a good-faith effort to be representative and have it met with anything but enthusiasm. I’m psyched there’s a confirmed gay character in Overwatch, bring on more diverse demos, I’m down.
Symmetra’s comic states that she is autistic.
I mean, unless it’s outright and painful tokenism, i’ll always side with inclusion over noninclusion. The argument where they’d rather not just have one character included, I don’t necessarily agree with - especially in this context of Overwatch where the character’s sexuality isn’t shown crassly, exploitatively or…
Weirdly, this sort of conversation bums me out, and here’s why:
Know what I look forward to? When a character (video game, TV show, novel, or movie) can be gay and we won’t be subjected to an in depth article explaining it...or it needing explanation. We all think we are so fucking evolved these days...but this article, in and of itself, shows that we are far from it.
The physics involved in that have me thinking about this more than I should. Like, how, a step ladder maybe?
omg
Making the cute girl character kissing another girl is the easy and safe route.
