This is a totally true story. It’s odd so make of it, what you will.

Here are the pictures I was able to find in my old phone, please excuse the captions- I was live snapping the whole experience 😩

In the early 2000s, I went with my then boyfriend to visit his parents on thanksgiving weekend. We were in our early 20s, had been together about a year, and his parents weren’t keen on me: they were well off and stuffy, and I was that “wrong side of the tracks who grew up in co-op housing in Toronto. After so long,

This is my sister’s story but I’m sharing it with her approval. Our dad died when we were kids (I was 13, she was 8). Since then, there had been a few sightings of him-nothing scary, he was just checking up on us. When my sis was 19, he showed himself to my sister-in-law (she can see ghosts) and told her he was

Since this has been in the pattern of talking about scary real people the past few years, this is one of the most frightening things that has ever happened to me.

When I was in my early 20s - circa 2003 - I lived in a suburb of Atlanta that was generally considered safe to live. Since I was 18, I had always lived on my own in various apartments. This was my first ‘ground floor’ apartment, and I remember talking to my mom about it and receiving a warning about the added dangers

Time traveler for sure. Maybe it’s your great grandson who heard what an amazing woman you were during your life and used his time traveling abilities to come find you?

Maybe I Should Have Listened to the Ghost

I should preface this story by explaining that I grew up in England, so everything is old as balls and creepy anyway, but this is the story I can never tell without getting shivers of dread all up my body.

When I was in my mid teens, my parents moved out to a small rural

I’ve dreamed about my father and my grandmother after they passed away. It was nice but I could tell they were just dreams. After my best friend died she visited me three times in my dreams. It felt completely different. The first time I asked her what being dead was like and she said it’s exactly the same as being

“Come outside,” the voice implored. “I need a ride home. Come outside.”

I don’t know if this counts, but it is hands down the oddest thing I’ve ever experienced and have no explanation to this day as to what this could have been.

I’ve seen dogs do this. It’s gotta be their near-supernatural sense of smell, right? Like, they get the tiniest of particles filtering up through whatever tiny gaps, and that’s enough when it’s someone they know really well.

Hello! I’m a little late to the game so this may get buried under all the amazing and creepy stories here. But I wanted to at least share mine.

I’m in the greys so who knows if this will even go through..

Ghost Realtor in the sky. “Always Be Closing ... death is no excuse!”

The neighborhood where I grew up is no longer there. The woods have been cleared out to make way for executive homes, all but the little family plot of gravestones. I didn’t know until I was a teenager that my brother’s friends say it was haunted, that a black dog would follow them through the woods but disappear.

I boot up Jezebel. Or Gizmod or any other affiliated site... and then a pop-up appears, asking me if I want to subscribe to some bullshit newsletter! I click no, as I always do and then turn on addblock again.

I am glad things are better now. I can’t imagine a paranormal experience on top of depression. Here’s some Daily Show for you

Mine’s kinda boring. I just slept in a graveyard when I was a kid. Some kid dared me, I did it, I got a Yu-Gi_Oh card out of it.

This one isn’t mine, but my mom’s. She told it to me a few years ago, when my husband and I bought our house; it’s the story of how my parents got my childhood home.
