I liked Alice in Chains in high school but, I can't listen to them anymore. It's not because they weren't good, it's because I'm never, ever that depressed anymore.
Soundgarden is just the right balance for me.

You ever notice that comedians and professional wrestlers have a pretty similar life span?
I didn't know that. That's crazy.
Wasn't the guy from Type O Negative around 50 when he died?
The article said Weiland was in rehab when this happened, right?
It might be a James Brown/Amy Winehouse situation, where the shock of the body going without drugs for an extended period ended up being the thing that killed him.
Yea, imitating Vedder was more of a Post-Grunge thing.
The one song by Stone Temple Pilots that I thought was a legitimately solid song that nobody else from that era would have written is "Interstate Love Song". As jaded as I am about that band…I do enjoy that song.
Wait, did anybody at the concert actually start a fight or did the cops just assume there was a rumpus going on and go in swinging?
Neither were Stone Temple Pilots or Smashing Pumpkins, in my opinion…or Pearl Jam. To me, grunge was anybody that was like a mix between Black Sabbath and punk rock.
They don't really have any "artistic cred" or anything, they were just a solid rock band who wasn't obnoxious. I don't get excited when they come up on my friend's ipod but, I don't get bummed out either.
That being said, I hate Third Eye Blind and Oasis.
I hate winter. That might have something to do with growing up with a fireplace, instead of central heat. I'm not crazy about hot weather either but, really cold weather…just standing out in it, I feel like I can feel it slowly killing me.
The reality is bad enough. I, honestly, find the stretching of the numbers to be fundamentally dishonest and irresponsible. While it would be going overboard to say that the GOP advocated the shootings at a Planned Parenthood Center, they should still be shamed for the irresponsible rhetoric that actively makes…
Alright, yea, I'll go with Chris Paul then. The point guard really does control the whole flow of the game, as would a writer. It's just the fact that writers end up getting more credit than point guards do that was holding me back. As far as function goes, you're right.
I thought I had seen Bokeem Woodbine in a lot of things but, I was getting him confused with the guy that played Bob in The Walking Dead (Lawrence Gilliard Jr). That hasn't been true for their entire careers. I can look back on The Rock and remember seeing Bokeem in it but, Almost Heroes, where he was skinny, I…
Exactly, I'm not going to high road somebody in football or wrestling who gets addicted to pain killers. I'm not one of those guys who's saying, "it's a dangerous sport and it should be banned" either. It is a dangerous sport but, that's not a secret. I wouldn't change the sport but, let's be honest about what it does…
As a sign of contempt for the moles, we really made them look reprehensible.
Honestly, how could you not in that sport?
The first time I saw that ad, I legitimately got the Bevis and Butt-head look. You know, the one where they see a shockingly bad music video?
He has to die in the first episode…and he has to be killed by your avatar.
You've never heard of Ted Danson?
Let's watch that language, now!
…I don't know why that made me laugh so hard.
