I mean, is this comment thread real life? Is it actually happening?

Right?? Let a girl live! Alone and binge eating happens at my apartment multiple times a week.

I just shuddered in horror.

Ewww. I know you're just trolling but you're The Worst. My condolences to your sig nif, future sig nif, and future ex sig nif.

Did anyone else make it to the end? The narrator walking behind the tree and emerging in a new outfit is the best part.

Not to mention how exhausting it would be to get ready if she's anything like me, and changes her outfit at least three times before leaving the mansion (or in my case tiny little apartment).

Ugh, sounds like you're in a tough position, and that there are a lot of factors at play. Good luck!

haha then why did you ask your original question if you can assure me that they have a written agreement? Must have been rhetorical. I'll know better next time.

Well, I guess my original point was that Gawker Media, Kinja, or Jez doesn't have to secure rights to use the images because they are commenting on them not just simply reproducing them. Whether it's unethical journalism to not include a link is a different question.

Now I'm just confused as to what you're really asking because you're conflating fair use and parody defense (I think). There are tons of rules about content providers and forums like Kinja that I'm not super familiar with that are probably applicable here. So perhaps we just agree to disagree.

"Parody" used here means commenting. Commenting is....the entire article. She's commenting on how ridiculous the stories are, among other things. You definitely do not need to credit the authors. Think of The Soup - when the host comments on the clips, he doesn't need to list the producers, actors, writers, etc.

It's called a "parody defense." If you're making a comment about the author's work, it's a-okay.

You remind me of the babe.

Employment law attorney here. I would be very careful with this - if you indicate in any way that the reason you are not hiring her is because she is pregnant, she can bring an action against you for discrimination and the penalties can be pretty hefty (probably more than you would spend training her and hiring a

I don't know if you mean pigs or pitbulls but I read it as you like armpits with slightly longer hair because they are fun to pet and I childishly giggled.

Interesting and very informative. Thanks!

Came here to say exactly this. The more laws that treat fetuses as humans with individual rights (and when those laws are upheld in the various Federal Courts), the more legal ammunition SCOTUS has to overturn Roe.

Sorry not sorry, when I read this all I can think is "totes jelly."
