Now that Emma has shown more vulnerability her character is more relatable and easier to watch. In the beginning she's like a positivity robot which isn't even frustrating because there's no connection.

It seems very unlikely matt will be vamperized. The writers have no clue what to do with him.
Maybe not a bad influence. But Stefan is more capable of empathizing and thinking ahead. Damon is more short sighted and doesn't think about others (except Elena, then Alaric, and then some of the people Elena thinks are important).
