Good, I hope they shoot back. Turkey is lucky they don’t have a mushroom cloud over one of their airbases.
Your original post said “shot down over Turkey” which is why I asked. Violated Turkish airspace + Turkey shot down a plane =/= shot down over Turkey. And I think it’s fair to view this non-comment by the US as support for the idea the plane was already back in Syrian airspace:
Wikipedia says that the missile entered service in 1994. The missiles were sold for export to India, Malaysia, China, Algeria and Venezuela.
I get it. Russia BARELY crossed into Turkish airspace and, ya know, if this was the first or maybe even second time, I’d say Turkey was acting rather harshly but Turkey DID warn them...multiple times. They told them what would happen if it continued. Russia either didn’t believe or didn’t care that this would happen.
Theyre legally allowed to station 15000 troops in the crimea, something western media has chosen to overlook..
The Russians have never hesitated to suffer if that suffering meant that their enemies would suffer more.
Just for your knowledge:
The Russians are saying their radar record shows the Turks entering Syrian airspace to attack the Russian jet.
Think about it, its a fucking AIM-9 or AIM-120, both have very low smoke trails (9M/X, all 120 variants), and the Su-24 has VERY POOR rear visibility. Its entirely likely that an F-16 would be able to approach a Su-24 from a rear quarter without counterdetection.
It’s a violation of the Geneva Convention.
cost. benefit. analysis.
Right here we go, translation (mostly!) incoming:
Walmart. Sporting goods section.
I would think ‘supercharger’ is a translation error from ‘compressor’ meaning turbocharger. Do not forget that early turbos were even referred to as superchargers in english.
We (U.S.A.) strike with so many munitions every day, sometimes we make mistakes. The difference here is we admitted fault. Additionally this comparison is irrelevant because we actually(accidentally) targeted that hospital. It was bad intelligence/decision making, but that was the target and we destroyed it very…
Wow...that top picture really depicts the size of the Fullback. That thing is a beast.
Any “under development” military aircraft will catch fire and crash at some point. Nothing new there. The smart thing Russians did is to continue developing their excellent 4th generation Su-27 until they made the state of art 4+ generation machines like Su-30, Su-34, and Su-35 at an affordable price. The smart thing…
Yeah bra, everyone knows that unless American master race develops it, it must be a knock off or a copy. No one can come up with ideas quite like us; like 3D Doritos, or Pepsi MAX. No one else has creativity or knowledge like us. We also gave the world baseball, who else has contributed with such a magnitude?
