because if I'm in a Vietnamese place, god damn it, I'm gonna get some pho

Wow, I had no idea Americans didn't call it rocket, this is me learning about coriander being cilantro all over again.

Anyone know why he appeared to be holding a candy apple or is that just traditional Halloween food?

This originally aired on either Sunday or Monday nights in New Zealand when I was 16/17 and at a stage somewhat similar to Lindsay's (I had been in extension classes and the like all throughout school but my friends and I had recently discovered illicit things that were much more exciting than schoolwork) and

I got an email from Ticketmaster a couple of months ago giving me an exclusive opportunity to grab presale tickets to his Melbourne show. Somehow I found that offer easy to refuse.

My equivalent of a guidence counsellor at my first high school was the brother of the singer of Men At Work. I had about one interaction with him the whole time I was there.

I have heard none of these songs (and I'm from New Zealand so kind of letting the team down there) and am aware of only 3 of these artists (Lorde, 30 Seconds to Mars, Tame Impala) so now I feel old and lonely.

They were playing to about 3 dozen people and I remember thinking they were busting out 'Fly' remarkably early in proceedings. This Cool Story, Bro has been brought to you by procrastination and

Late on this but Carl Shuker's The Lazy Boys is excellent/horrific and his first novel, The Method Actors, isn't half bad either.

Holy shit, I loved that film and had not realised they were the same person until this post. Amazing.

Have you people seen Tim Riggins? He's the goddamn QEII of dreamboats!

The Simple Minds (I think?) track at the end of that episode was pretty fitting too.

At least these guys give me an outlet for my itchy 'downvote' finger.

Oh wow, that is forever ago. I just had sudden flashbacks to when I was relatively young, relatively good-looking, incredibly happy and in the longest, healthiest relationship of my life…

The over/under on Stuart and Amelia hooking up before the end of the season?

What, it came up organically!

I've found this show to be extremely like Extras in a lot of ways (between Stuart's social awkwardness and Jessica's professional struggles) and I'm sure it's no coincidence that tonight was both the most Extras-esque and the best episode.

I nearly had to turn it off 4 times (the toast, the conversation about the guy at high school who overdosed, the tap dance and the joke explanation) and I *never* had that problem during The Office. Extras was another story, in fact this reminded me of the episode of Extra's with the woman's birthday party at the bar
