Instantly developed a lisp after seeing these pics.

Of course. But take into consideration that it is not so terribly difficult to plan and build a city that's more sustainable, ecologically, than, say, any given U.S. city of comparable size.

That was fun. Also, nice gimmick for a shooter game.

Time will show, until then your expectations don't seem very relevant.

So, you say that because there were 'only' 800 million Chinese peeps in '68 and because they killed some of theirs themselves it adds some magical 'perspective' that makes killing them all somewhat reasonable?

"damning rivers, building coal fired plants, strip mining" are not limited to China, me thinks. Developing whole cities in a sustainable manner on the other hand...

No shortage of saltwater algae, is there?

C'mon, you can't be serious. You'd wipe out 1 billion innocent Chinese peeps and cause a nuclear winter, because, say the U.S.S.R. or some crazy organization killed or kidnapped the prez?

What irritates me much more are the 70cm or so blades, that snikt out of Deadpool's 30cm forearms. Even Wolverine's much shorter claws wold be too long to fully retract.

Merely "releasing" wouldn't do much, me thinks, it would keep orbiting. In order to make it drop you'd need to decelerate its orbital velocity, which justly could be called 'flinging'.

Not if the operator running it is an asshole.

I didn't read the book, but, from a neutral point of view, this looks very promising and I'm looking forward seeing it.

I think assessing that craft and its standard maneuvers must wait until more is known of its technology. Until then, for what it's worth, I personally would rather hop in and do a back flip for take off than climb down a ladder high in the sky.

Guerilla marketing.

Wouldn't be too surprising, I think. It's mostly a gradual process, probably somewhat exponential.

Might take some time to manifest and spread through the population, though. If the net benefit of that adaptation is big enough, maybe 100 generations? 1,000? Would be interesting to know.

Let's just count our blessings, this one could have ended much, much worse.

You are, of course, correct, I had the warfare aspect from your first post in the back of my mind, without expressing it, apologies. Talking only about the shipping aspect, though, what I meant with "resources" would be actual resources, not refined products.

Well, you can not "maintain" an atmosphere, where there is (almost) none to begin with.

Again, we were discussing interplanetary warfare, not mere transport.
