You're a natural.
You're a natural.
That's what you got from the story, really? The only racist person here seems to be you, frankly.
Ok, I don't get it. Why nasty?
I guess the main obstacle in answering your questions would be the surprisingly unclear definition of 'life'. For every definition of the term there are examples that fit the bill but clearly don't constitute life. For the same reason it's not clear at which point abiogenesis really happened in our evolutionary past.…
And there goes the 5 trillion $ interstellar mission.
Things look differently when your family suffers and dies because of these critters. Wipe them out, re-establish the species with an uninfected batch, I say.
That's easily explained by introducing a new sort of time into the equations, called dark time™. Just like time, only 5 times longer and unobservable.
Yeah, but then someone would write a comment along the lines of "I'm not really seeing why any of this is considered a success. You could make the exact same test ... "
Yeah, it's an outrage. Totally unthinkable that a person would get into trouble of some kind in the U.S. or any other civilized country.
Says who?
When I finally had my penis reduction done 10 years ago, my country dropped three places on that ranking.
I made a valid point, if you don't have the mental capacity or intellectual integrity to debate it just bugger off. I'm not interested in your content-free debating-noise.
Sorry, that's nonsense. Inter-species altruism is rarely found in any animal's behavior. And if,it is usually a case of mis-imprinting.
Sounds like a hoax.
Thoughtless homo sapiens-bashing. Last time I checked, despite all out short-commings, humans were the most moral, altruistic and considerate species that we know of. Like every species we procreate until we hit some resource limit, but unlike any other species we become aware of the collateral and try to mitigate.
The mediocrity principle is a rule of thumb that manifested after humanity learned time and again that we seem to live on a pretty mediocre planet/star system/galaxy. It has proven to be a pretty reliable assumption, when in doubt.
On the positive side us starless peeps don't need promotions to get their posts on the thread :p
Only if you didn't buy FB stock.
Exponential growth of knowledge accompanied by exponential growth of risks in a limited environment sounds like a recipe for disaster. Me thinks the only feasible strategy would be to focus on knowledge and technology that would allow us to expand to other habitats beyond Earth.
