Boy, you’re really gonna hate Ep 9. I hear it involves Rey & Rose rounding up every alpha male in the galaxy & making them play Zoe Quinn games over & over, Clockwork Orange-style.

for so many trump supporters their ENTIRE philosophy and motivation is do anything and everything is to own the libs. They would shoot off their own dicks if they thought the coastal elites would be upset about it.

The trump supporters are fucking creaming in their pants after his performance there. A tweet from James Wood said no matter what happens next his vote was worth it just because of this.

Your intentions here are I think good but please try not to scold this woman for her feelings, which *are* 100% real whether or not you think they are “factually wrong,” whatever that means.

Writer here. You are spot on.

Everyone reading this who is struggling: someone loves you this much. Even if it’s just all the dorks on the internet like me who know you have innate value. Hang on, and reach out for the help you need.

It’s a trap!

Some smarties from Stanford have created a CBT chatbot called Woebot. It works via FB. It’s a bit like the old Eliza program, but designed to help you notice and shift distorted thinking. I’ve used it and found it quite helpful. You do have to work with it (as in, consider what it can respond to). It doesn’t take long

I appreciate this. Therapy has usually been very helpful (with the right therapist) and when I’m ramped up on an SSRI that works, I can do okay. Of course, this gets into affordable meds and finding a good therapist and healthcare costs....along with actually finding the wherewithal to actually DO any of the above.

Also, in the absence of books to give all of you that address your own insecurities and terrible auto replay brain messages and the scars you’ve had to heal on your own, I will tell you two things I told both of them (and an extra):

I promise you, emotions can feel 100% real but be 100% factually wrong.

Julianne references a very real phenomenon and how it impacts mental illness, in this case, how women are socialized to put up a front to the point where they ignore even their loved ones. If a man has a career, spouse, children, and social life, he is not accused of wanting to “have it all”. When he is depressed,

I agree with you on one level, but as someone who struggles (and has entertained thoughts of suicide in the past), I can say that gender and social issues do come into play when my inner narrative is telling me terrible things. I think about how I’m a fat, older woman with a passion and part time job in an industry

Dysthymia has been part of my life for... basically the entirety of my life, to the point that I’ve figured it’s who I am and always will be (I am fine and well-medicated, sometimes I feel like it works, other times not really, whatever). I am definitely not a cheery person but I do work hard to put on a relatively

It was a loooong time ago (I’m early-old) but I’ll see what I can dig up and reply here. :)

I absolutely agree with this point, and take it a step further. I’m an artist/designer, and although I’ve never achieved the phenomenal success of someone like Kate Spade, I’ve always used an alias – a nom de plume – for my creative projects. I do not want my “identity” too intimately linked with an idea presented for

I agree with you completely. I keep a very open door policy, and try to bring in people that I work with as often as I can, to show them exactly what the process is and how things are achieved. I do not maintain a mask of effortless cool. If I’m stressed out because of an insane project, I let that be known,

Holy Shit. This woman is an actual, literal emotional vampire.

Never sell your name. Never sell your name. No matter how big the paycheck, never sell your name.
