I remember reading in the week after the election that Dump wanted to continue to have rallies during his presidency, since he enjoyed the adoration and “instant gratification” of the cheering crowds. This guy is a megalomaniac who has no interest in actually serving the public.

Not that I think the women in these situations are blameless, but that’s really easy for us to say from afar, sitting on our first world couches.

And also because they like to hold it up as the highest example of why gun control fails. Never mind the fact that all the gun violence perpetrators can simply leave Chicago to get their firearms since gun control is not effective if you can drive a few miles and get one legally anyway.

My husband, who usually Gets Things, did that to me on the street once and didn’t understand why I almost had a heart attack until I explained to him that women basically spend our lives on guard worried a stranger might grab us like that.
