Uh, I think there oughtta be exceptions made for serious crimes like murder. Just a thought.

First of all, it’s disgusting that the church would cover for a murder like this, just like they covered for molesters and all the other criminal priests the sheltered for decades. But I’ve ranted too many times about religious institutions ignoring their supposed values in favor of protecting those running the church.

If this situation was any more deescalated, they’d have traveled back in time. There is no escalation when a man is literally begging for his life as he’s forced to crawl.

Either the teenager who plays the Flash (can’t remember his name either) or Collin Ferrel would have made an excellent Grindelwald. Ferrel was esp. good in that movie. Or just get some unknown. Like you said, they really didn’t need Depp’s name to sell the movie.

There were audible groans in the theater when he appeared on screen. His bloated head read as nothing more than Johnny Depp, drunken domestic abuser. Not Grindelwald. And it totally took me out of the movie.

Especially, like, I get he turned into Grindelwald’s “true form” at the end, but why not rewrite it so that Grindelwald stays in his “Percival Graves” form? I know he was exposed before the MACUSA, but does news travel that fast in the Wizarding Community in the 1920s? (Hell, does news travel that fast in the time of

I really liked Colin Farrell in the role! Isn’t Grindelwald is supposed to be, like, a sexy genius monster? Not this discount Batman villain.

That was a really long-winded way of saying “Depp’s contract has no morality clause”.

I agree with you that she is not actively harming anyone. She did nothing wrong. But I don’t agree that there are no stakes. She may be richer than God but this is still a for-profit endeavor. In addition, she is allowing him to earn money. She is his boss. Moreover, there is an opportunity cost. Someone who actually

Either that or Depp was just sooooo charming and had such super-convincing stories about how his crazy ex manufactured all of it.....which I could *almost* forgive them for on everything but the video. Once they’ve seen him terrorizing her and smashing glass....how could they possibly defend him?

I saw a trailer for this at a theatre, and a woman in the audience yelled, “Fuck Johnny Depp!” And it was a morning screening, and it was not a rowdy crowd. It brought me great joy.

Just a few thoughts I thought I would add....

When I saw “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the entire theatre groaned when Colin Farrell morphed into Johnny Depp. It was disappointing and has made me question whether to continue with the series.

“With Johnny, it seems to me there was one person who took a pop at him and claimed something.”

Personal life aside, Johnny Depp’s acting has devolved into a camp parody of itself. What he seems to be nowadays is a Tallulah Bankhead impersonator. (Right down to the drunken slurring).

Depp pretty much ruined a series of movies that I really wanted to see, set in a world that I dearly love. His overblown ridiculousness in the first Fantastic Beasts completely took me out of the movie and shoved it down the shitter. I don’t think I can stand him Being All Johnny Deppy all over Grindelwald for an

UGH!! What a tragic choice. I’ve been holding off to not distract from MeToo, but now I can say how disturbed I was by the video of him intimidating his live-in partner by smashing wine bottles and refusing to look at her or speak to her while she begs him to stop. I was a huge huge Depp fan. That all vanished when I

Al is a creep. I don’t know how much of a creep he is now, but his past actions are those of a creep.

Alcott was deeply, terribly ambivalent about her Little Women books. They were the only ones that really had any commercial success or critical acclaim, and she hated them. She thought they were boring, stupid, safe little stories of drivel for boring, stupid, safe little babies. Like Jo, she wanted to write thrillers

In real life Alcott had crushes on Emerson and Thoreau at different points in her younger life. She followed Emerson around like puppy.
