“I wonder how many 40lb curls I can knock out tonight!”?
We’ll force them to do us an embarrassing dare like yell they like sex in public and also they owe 12 favors, 1 for each billion; one good use of a favor would be a beer run for the Senate.
I see what he’s doing here. He’s mounting an effort to seriously restrict voting laws with something like federal ID, even though his many syncophants don’t have the ‘nads to publicly dispute him. This is very dangerous, not just delusional and borderline insane.
I second that.
Are you crazy? People will lose healthcare. Free speech is being curtailed. Science is being attacked. States are trying to pass laws that allow cops to shoot protesters, civilians to run them over, and law enforcement agencies to sue them. Hate crimes against non-white people, Jews, and Muslims have increased. They…
I love how so many white dudes are like “If you don’t want to/can’t pay for an abortion, don’t have sex!” at the same time as “if you protest because we murdered a citizen, we’ll make you pay for it!”
If “the people” is Paul Ryan.
Most were saying, “Not this white woman,” or “No one I know!” I’d say, “[Fifty-three percent] of white women voted for Trump. That means someone you know, someone who is in close community with you, voted for Trump. You need to organize your people.”
And when you do call them out for it, the world has ended *rolls eyes*

This is a good point, but I don’t think BLM has a mandate either way. I know organizers have personal opinions (e.g. this is our thing, stay out vs. we need white people to support this too) but I’ve not been able to get a handle on how that vibe varies from city to city, state to state. I can say here in Chicago…
Kara, I don’t want to derail this piece. I am glad you wrote it. But please get Jezebel to write about how POC are being marginalized within the Democratic party.
I want to be with you on this, I want to say that we should encourage the people who came out to keep doing the same thing, but on the other hand things like these are meant to be challenging. If you go there and you’re triggered by truth in the form of people noting on their signs that 53% of white women voted for…
Agreed. Yes, the marching was a great way to signal President Comacho that nobody likes him. But at the same time the real work is yet to come. I have a few FB friends who are doing that 10 actions in 100 days thing and I’m glad to see it.
Kara - I know you know this but I wwant to put it out there in writing before or in time with anyone who will call you cynical or say you should appreciate this action.
Of course it’s Tiffany’s box.
