I feel the same way. Love sports movies, and hate sports (except figure skating!). But the 30 for 30 was amazing. And the NBC doc with Nancy in it was interesting too (though not nearly as good)

She sewed those ugly costumes of hers by hand because she didn’t have the money! There is this weird video that creeps me out of her as a kid with her mom and this weird bird in their shitty apartment. I really still don’t think she had any control over what happened to Nancy. Am I naive? I don’t care.
I would watch the shit out of that!
I still think she had little to no recourse though. I think i am still #teamtonya, even though I also liked Nancy. I loved watching them both skate so much.
I’m 31 and I will definitely see this. I was pretty young when it happened, and I was riveted. Plus I thin the 30 for 30 they did on this last year or the year before had HUGE ratings.
Oh yeah. The mocking Nancy received was BRUTAL and completely unwarranted.
OMG Amy Adams would have been PERFECT.
I really hope they go back further than the attack and try to show the whole story. Tonya was a fucking dream on ice and overcame so much. I loved to watch her skate—she looked so different from everyone else with what she was doing. To see this story as anything but tragic and insane is to see it incorrectly, in my…
Good luck, and i’m so sorry this happened in your city! Is there a twitter hashtag for ride sharing out or is uber there and helping at all? I hope you’re home safe soon.
Anyone else immediate think of Half Baked?

hahaha I got my sister a shirt that says this. She LOVES it.
That was specifically NOT the joke. They said the wedding was double booked, meaning she was actually supposed to be the bride from the other wedding, so someone was marrying her in this scenario.
It’s like how lack of pads/tampons keeps girls from being able to go to school. It’s so basic, it is a literal after-thought, but it needs to be addressed immediately.
I’m dealing with this now. Very true!
I don’t think this has anything to do with neo-liberalism. Kagan and Sotomayor are very progressive, but they were nominated at a time when their confirmation wasn’t a HUGE issue. Now Obama is trying to get a pick in when the confirmation IS the issue. He is still trying to use his sway while proving how…

There isn’t a great reason to assume we will have a more sane anything come November. Trump is the likely candidate. We should all expect things to go crazy.
I agree that he was joking, but that doesn’t make it untrue.
