Are you joking? I think a lot of us could benefit from a skinny mirror. Many women (myself definitely included) can look in the mirror and find so many flaws, why not use a slight trick to make us feel better? It's not going to change the way you look in clothes, just the way you feel about yourself.
I hadn't read Steve Kandell's piece before this, and I found it really powerful. I cannot imagine losing someone in such a public way, and since I haven't been to the museum I can't really comment on it one way or the other.
This makes me cackle with glee. No one makes me laugh like Abbi and Ilana!
There was at least one person who called it that, but yes, I am talking about the extortion.: http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/feat…
The sexual harassment scandal that was all over the news in 2009.
I got my wedding dress from this etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/elegance5… I loved/love it so so much. I had it made to measure, but it is less expensive not to. It was kind of scary sending money and measurements into space and then waiting for a package from the Philippines to arrive (and in a TINY box, and i…
I bought my dress off of Etsy too! I had it made, but still a very similar style, only it's blue. I love yours. Def use it as a wedding dress if you change your mind completely on marriage!
I wore mine out to dinner on our wedding anniversary. Why not? And we went to a sushi restaurant where everyone else was in jeans. Just do it!
I had mine made by someone on Etsy. It was so great. I also didn't do a traditional dress (mine was a short blue cocktail dress), but you can get traditional dresses made. Since I had it made, so no alterations necessary. My mom and I don't do well shopping together (picture me crying in Ann Taylor dressing rooms…
You know what, you're right. She was 22 when everything in her life got crazy. She was 26 when she actually took the hike. (I just looked it up)
This movie will be one of those rare times (outside of 30 year-olds playing high schoolers) where a woman who is significantly older than the character is cast. Cheryl Strayed was 22 when she took this trip; Witherspoon is 16 years older than that. I think she looks super young in general still, but it will be…
I didn't even realize it was Lindsay at first. I don't think she looks old in that picture, just really different.
Also, there is just something really weird about calling your grandparents' marriage "54 years of wedlock." I smell a high school student who went a little crazy with her thesaurus.
I thought this was real for so long, and I was cringing. Once I finally realized it was a joke, I'm cringing even more because this could be on The Knot's front page tomorrow.
Ha! Thanks. I am being Naked and Afraid this year, which will be funny, but I don't think it will stay on people's minds as much. Try as I might to come up with a funny political costume for the election, I just couldn't.
Two years ago I went as the republican in your vagina. I wore a man's brown wig (part to the right), red tie, and then crafted a vagina out of cloth that I wore around my waist. I carried a homemade vaginal ultrasound wand and some birth control with a big X over it. Truly, I worry my Halloween game has peaked.
This is like the entire plot of "The Lords of Discipline." Did your dad attend the Citadel with Pat Conroy?
It's like men who think women's reproductive rights don't effect them. Great—we'll remember that when you get us pregnant, we have to have a baby and then you call us a bitch and a whore and try to get out of paying child support.
This made me so so happy. This is the most accurate definition of libertarian I've ever seen.
