There are some experimental treatments that aren’t covered so some people do travel for these “hail mary” sort of treatments especially after regular treatments have failed.

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but you may want to reconsider using the word “gypped” since it’s a slur against gypsies/Roma. I used to use it as well until someone pointed it out to me too. :)
You expected a pick up artist class to have anything resembling reality or facts in the curriculum? ;)
I think Jinni was speaking more of co-morbidity with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) which is prevalent in northern countries with long winters. (Scandinavia, Canada, Russia etc). Being born in or living in a northern climate for a long time will not prevent people from getting SAD. Half my family suffers from it…
Manitou springs resort & mineral spa is about an hour and a half away so that’s an easy day trip, or it’s an easy stop just off the road to Winnipeg! Moose Jaw would also be a nice one too, and the tunnel tours are also worth doing!
I recently played the new card game version, and oh did it ever take me back to my childhood. I highly recommend it if you haven’t played it yet!
To be fair Sask. has Lake Manitou, which is awesome. :D Like the Dead Sea without all the long flights and crowds! And Moose Jaw’s Temple gardens in late spring would also be glorious. That was the only stop I pre-planned and booked ahead for when I moved to New England for grad school, driving cross continent.
I am pretty sure that say her name/remember her name actually started with the publication ban on Rehtaeh Parson’s name, as it was actively being used in 2014 in conjunction with the ban whereas Sandra Bland’s death and the Say her name report were both in 2015. I remember being really confused in 2015 when I started…
There’s a great op/ed on CBC right now calling it like it is: Canada’s mass murderers are overwhelmingly white Christian men. Full stop.
I was at the Calgary rally, and one of my favourite things to see was all the Dads holding their kids up on their shoulders and the families in general. It was a very short march so that it could be accessible for wheelchair users and stroller pushers.
And when you get past all those layers of awesome you find another, since he also captured the Trudeaus sharing a very loving look.
*raises hand* In fact, it’s such an effective earworm I’m still just keeping myself from humming it at work all day today.
Of course that was the entire reason why a bunch of nine year olds would sing it with such glee. :)
This little ditty made the round of my elementary school at the time, sung to the tune of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”
That would be the most epic birthday present ever. Your lips to god’s ear as they say...
When I was in grad school in the states I paid 25% - I checked after Romney’s tax rate was made public and it was double!
There still are cuts that flatter a newly post-partum body that don’t look like a Victorian chesterfield (it even has a drape down one side to cover the *ahem* limbs.) If she has a stylist, they failed big time. Though, given she just had a baby and is in the bonding/not sleeping/healing haze of new motherhood, I…
Is Anna Chlumsky going to re-use this dress for Halloween and go as the overstuffed chesterfield in my Aunt’s formal sitting room? There’s enough space in the gown to accommodate a few pillows to complete the transformation...
In breaking news, Richmond police are no longer charging men who run stop signs if they are only a few minutes away from their destination. Pedestrians crossing at marked crosswalks in stop sign controlled intersections, are being told it’s reasonable for them to be hit and left injured or dying on the street, since…
Reindeer patties tend to be pretty popular and probably would hide the facts that some charred places could be unusable...
