I just sent an email to them about this! Thanks for the suggestion!

Selling your plasma?!?!?! That is obscene that they even thought it was a legitimate idea!

That's good to know, thank you! I'm pretty sure in my home province they do use real sugar (rather than the "and/or glucose-fructose" from the label) because I can taste a difference between Pepsi in Alberta and Pepsi in Vermont.

I ate out for lunch in Calgary quite a bit so there wasn't that much of a difference between the amount of pepsi consumed in total.

Thank you for saying that. The sort of social conditioning that allows a nine year old child to disregard a seven year old's no and sexually assualt them is horrible. It's the same reasoning that made me an object to be sexually threatened in a dominance game between two of my male peers when I was 11. The structure

Can you elaborate on the "sexy octoberfest girl" offense bit? Is the costume itself offensive or the cultural appropriation? Is it cultural appropriation if it's your own heritage? Or is it poking fun at the stereotypes that define you?

I think that accuracy is important too and being able to discuss things like nutrition openly leads to more self awareness. In my last marketing class we were talking about brand loyalty in cola, and about recipe changes. I had a eureka moment: Pepsi in the states has high-fructose corn syrup whereas pepsi in Canada

Tsubos are amazing - really good support and are cute and easy!

Wait, you mean the Quebecois didn't change the city's name to Mon-tray-ale?

I was thinking it was awesome - the ringlets and the historical costume (Tudor, maybe?) It was brilliant and not "slutty" at all, I think!

Wait a minute, the 2011 Barbie is Tokidoki Barbie - what is she the rest of the time? GI

I never claimed to be a good speller! ;) That's half the problem with riding two conventions is keeping that many different right ways in my head. I had that problem in Japanese/Chinese as well. Trying to keep Japanese kanji, traditional chinese characters and simplified characters straight in my mind was impossible

This is probably the wrong forum to speak on but I'm trying to get past a pet peeve for a grad school group paper. I'm not American but am in a US grad school so English spelling conventions don't really fly when the rest of the group I'm working with uses American spelling. My group members have been nice about it,

seconded. I love Chicago but bloody grad school is insisting on APA despite the fact that they freely acknowledge that they put out a new guide every couple of years that makes the old one obsolete! Because its more than just citations it's a "style guide" I can't even depend on word's add citation function.

It was pretty awesome! That is one of the perks of grad school in Vermont!

Shoot, somehow I don't think sodexo would be interested in my new bottle of cooking wine.

This was my attempt yesterday (did my motherf*cking laundry like an adult!) but finishing up the "hurricaine" of papers strewn across my floor-chair-desk etc did not happen.

It is... and here I have these great apples I picked yesterday and no oven in which to bake a procrastination pie. Living on campus really sucks sometimes.

Wait, wine goes bad?? shoot, I still have a half bottle of reisling that I've been too busy to drink open since mid Sept. I guess I'll finish my readings for tomorrow and then drink bad wine since this grad student can't afford to waste it.

The problem is when you get so proficent at making them yourself that the ones you contract out just don't have the same quality. And if your new business partner knows that you're really good at making them they may try less hard in the training seminar.
