I'd consider myself lucky! I had gyno surgury a couple of years ago and they must have been out of the maternity ones since I woke up "wearing" a loose pad. It was quite the dilemma for my foggy head to try and decide if I was going to try and waddle to the bathroom with it clenched between my thighs or risk it and go

You've given me food for thought. I have said things like "biracial children often get the best genes from both sides" but I never thought that in some places that "biracial" was a synonym for "part African-American" and nothing more. I suppose I should have though.

Co-signed. And as many people have said there are safe ways to co-sleep that don't have the baby in bed. My godson slept in his swingy chair right beside the bed for the first several months. Good thing too since his father is another example of a dead to the world sleeper.

The medical first person terminology is an interesting way of looking at it. Although they are trying to recognise the person's humanity first, isn't the medical profession trying to categorize how these people are different from 'normal'? It's the whole nature of medicine - to restore people to certain norms defining

"We need to go back to the terrific all-natural make up ingredients of yesteryear, like lead and bird poo."

I'm with you on this. Not only does it have to be in black and white until he starts getting the memories but so much of the build up of the first eight chapters - which was crucial to setting the story - is seen only through his eyes, understanding and limited vocabulary. It will be a real challenge to set those

It isn't. My understanding is sometimes the heart keeps beating after brain death - acutally organ donation depends on either that or a patient being on a ventialtor at the time of death to keep blood flowing to organs to be donated.

Still a misunderstanding problem for lay people. "Pullups" is a brand name ala "Mommy, wow! I'm a big kid now!"

@ad_infinitum: Or that rapists don't exist in upper-middle class neighbourhoods?

I don't get it either. If anyone has the right to be put out, isn't it the person who is hurting with each breath afterwards?

@Jan74: Sing it sister! Stampede is coming soon and it's so bad to get inside I'm holding my breath at least 30 steps away from the door - I'll still wheeze afterwards but the allergic inflamation isn't as bad.

@Cinnamoncanuck: I wonder if it also has something to do with moving etc. I can tranfer presctiptions on file within the province but the moment I go out of province or country I have to re-get the prescription from a new doctor.

I'll probably recycle as much of it as I can - at least it'll have a chance of being useful in it's next incarnation. But I'm not above using a couple of pages as kindling for said campfire instead of newspaper. ;)

@Zyna-kat: I think I'm going to repeat that in my Christian Education meeting tomorrow and see how fast my minster falls out of her chair in shock.

@WrittenPyramids: "This book was anonymously donated to your [library] to discreetly promote supernatural alternatives to the theory of evolution. Please reshelve it in the FICTION section."

@StuckOnRepeat: Not only is the board an appointed group of mostly outsiders the number of members is not set in stone.

@awkwardsilence0711: I recently had to go through donations to the babyfold in my church and it was brutal. If it can be washed bucket and cloth style, it can be donated but if it can't then it had to be thown out. It was heartbreaking taking two garbage bags of stuffies out to the dumpster.

@mox: "needless to say, if someone asks you to be a godparent, it would behoove all involved to get a clear read on what that means to both parties."
