My condolances to her family and friends. JETs tend to be in rural and semi-urban areas so I was sort of waiting to hear this sort of news unfortunatly. We may yet hear more.

My congregation is currently starting the discussion about becoming an affirming church. One of the trends we're seeing is that the older demographic is the one with the deep pocketbooks and thus drives much of church policy. There's a lot more open minded people in churches than it would seem.
