Lower back, on the left side.

Oh! And several varieties of pierogi, ready to go!

My cousin couldn’t breathe and he had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance (he’s 26, so he’s still young enough to be on his mother’s insurance). Come to find out, his lung collapsed. He’s now in a medically-induced coma because the doctors want his body to heal.

Yesterday I officially became an aunt!! My nephew Carter George arrived just before noon. My sister hasn't given permission to post any pictures on Facebook yet, so I won't share any on here for now.

When someone started shooting at Pearl Harbor earlier this week, my reaction was “with such a low body count, this won’t even be a mass shooting which lives in infamy,” they’re way too common these days. Wasn’t even the highest death toll at a Naval base mass shooting, wasn’t the only shooting at a military base this

Hi everyone! A bit of happy for today, yay! I finally got the tattoo I’ve been wanting for simply forever - my beautiful kitty cats on my arm!! Getting a tattoo is great catharsis as well, I must admit... cried a few times but not because of pain, just because that’s who I am at the moment. But still!! I’m super happy

Hey all! I just opened a bottle of Beaujolais Noveau and I behave a cat on my lap. The Bartender and I saw “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” this week and both of us sniffled through the entire movie. Actually, I tried not to sob too loud. We went out for drinks afterwards (red wine flight for me, sparkling rose’

It is very obviously a photo shop LOL even the image says Joan edited it.

Here’s my take: Barbies take a lot of fine motor skills and an ability to shimmy skinny rubberish-textured legs and permanently stiff, slightly bent arms into skinny little outfits (thumbs get stuck in the sleeves, etc.) If the kid is too young to change Barbie’s clothes independently, wait a while to buy a Barbie,

You can do things with her--there’s a reason her wardrobe would fill an entire mansion--she’s basically a template for all sorts of stories. It’s like when my husband plays Fallout 4 and essentially just plays Barbie’s Dream house constructing very elaborate mansions.

“forbidding something would mean a lifelong obsession with that thing.”

I am giving myself permission to just be lazy today and do what the rest of the family is doing - playing video games, watching YouTube, and ordering pizza when we get hungry. I ran myself ragged this month trying to be ALL THE THINGS, and yeah, I’m tired. Plus the kids actually like when I game with them, who knew?

Hi Jezzies,

I miss Behind Closed Ovens.

I haven’t been posting much. I’ve been in a weird head space so I haven’t had much to say. My boy’s cancer has decided that it doesn’t want to play nice or mind its own business so it’s been a tough couple of weeks. He’s handling it all pretty well and I’m proud of that but also heartbroken & angry for him. Imagine in

Fear is the stupidest emotion. Can you reason with it? Not usually. Can you beat it into submission? Debatable. Can you outsmart it? Tell me how.

This right here.

Hello all!! I’m alive and still around, though I haven’t been to SNS in a few weeks. Tiny baby is now 12 weeks, and doing really well in daycare! Thanks to all who supported me as I figured that out.

It took literally months, but I FINALLY found and got a roommate!!! And in less than a week, too. We seem to be on the same page, she’s conscientious, and I really hope it works out. My friends asked if I was excited, but... like, it’s not excitement, but the lack of dread? I was seriously resentful of having to share

My boyfriend has been having intense headaches for the past week and REFUSES to go to the ER. I had an acquaintance suffer a fatal aneurysm a few years ago and I’m terrified.
