The sign implies that looking around at the women’s march, statistically, some of them voted for Trump, or someone they know voted for Trump. Theretofore, white ladies should sit other white ladies down and advocate on a personal level why this was not okay.

Why do you expect a Black woman to be able to trust us as white women enough to do the painstaking work of challenging our racism while protecting our feelings? That’s a tall order. You don’t even need to do anything. They can literally just make it up and say you did resist arrest. Its the most BS charge in the book. My personal favorite is when they charge someone for resisting arrest but nothing else. Like, why the fuck were you trying to arrest them in the first place again?

I would occasionally watch a few seconds of COPS while channel surfing, and I could never stomach the fact that in every episode I would happen to catch, there was always a man, in cuffs, on the ground with at least one knee in his back or on the back of the neck (which is very dangerous) while 6 cops were yelling…

Never mind that they are trained to yell “Stop resisting” no matter what’s going on so that bystanders think they are in the right or so they can pile on the charges later.

I wish I could say I was shocked, but I’m not. Resisting arrest is a blatantly stupid charge because, let’s be honest, if you’ve got four officers pinning you to the ground and using strikes and possibly a baton on you, you’re going to move from pain, from being restrained, from having your airway cut off, etc.
