Omg Jodie, no one is saying that EVERY man needs to go to jail over every sexist thing (excluding illegal things obviously). But even the small things need to be called out or nothing will change.

Whataboutism is used to deflect from wrongdoing by pointing out a similar situation and demanding a pass by comparison. This isn’t what my statement entails. I’m not excusing any behavior by the right.

Muscle cramps in arms during a panic attack is a normal thing that I literally had last night. When your body is under extreme stress it tenses. Under stress your body takes nutrients from muscle.

It would be very likely that it would be because of his race, so maybe a better example would be banning some other democratic politician for supporting trans in the military.

I agree. If they had done this to Obama,  people here would be furious. I want to celebrate this (because she’s terrible), but this just gives them fuel for their persecution complex.

I hear you. I’m typically pretty good about keeping the movie separate, but Dahl’s books were my favorite as a child and with the exception of Gene Wilder, none of the Dahl based movies have ever lived up for me.

Oh I agree. And arguably the movie change makes it sadder. Now he indeed will have his grandmother die during his childhood.
