Planning an attack is premeditation, not terrorism. Two people planning an attack is a conspiracy, not terrorism. Having a catholic facination with martyrdom doesn’t make one’s death an actual martyr, nor does being martyred mean terrorism.

So based on a massive assumption that people who are into martyrdom are probably terrorists, we can definitively label them terrorists, no doubt about it... probably. That just doesn’t scan.

Who were they radicalized by? Was their attack political in nature?

To reiterate what others have said, why are we calling these murders “terrorists” in an article that points out that they had no connection to terrorist organizations and at best can be described as “Possibly radicalized” who then targeted people they knew based on a personal grudge not a political agenda.
