Except what’s actually going to happen in the real world is that you’ll get a shit digital release. That’s some serious naivety to expect that not having to make physical games is going to magically fix release problems.

It was the 80s, you think the editor wasn’t blasted out of his mind on coke while reading it?
Yeah, there’s different levels of rich. My upbringing was sort of similar to Ferris’, and I never really considered us rich, but we were definitely a lot richer than some. I knew people who lived in some real expensive houses/neighborhoods and we were like “that’s where the rich people live”, but I’m sure plenty of…
I have little sympathy for people who make a ton of money working a normal amount of hours, but I also think it’s disingenuous to say hours that someone is live are the only hours they’re “working”. I’d say most successful live streamers are working an equal amount of off-air hours.
I’ve never spent a dime on in game cosmetic items in my life so I’m right there with you weirdo.
I’d choose neither, but I suppose that doesn’t exactly make me one of their preferred customers lol.
In what universe is Kick Twitch’s “biggest rival”? The one where the author forgets about Facebook and Youtube?

It really comes through that way.
You must live a real bleak existence. I’m so sorry.
They have some control over where they work and writing ironic articles though.
Still looking at Twitter in 2023, huh?
You did 10 years working at a Gamestop? Holy hell.
Why is buying a game at Gamestop better than getting it at a big box store?
You don’t have any kind of local game store? Plenty of fantastic options for used games around here and I don’t live in a big city. If I can’t find something I’m looking for locally without going to Gamestop, I hit ebay. For new games though, I usually go to Target. Evil corporation? Maybe, but at least they have…
Same for people who shop at Gamestop lol.
I don’t think it’s that people are surprised by their pay when they get hired. It’s more that they can’t live with constant inflation without their pay increasing.
I’ve stopped feeling bad for people who still shop at Gamestop. I also don’t understand those people.
I think this is season 27 of the US version. I tried watching the UK version once and found it pretty boring. Although I feel the UK version must have some much older stuff sometimes, in the US they tend to only go back to civil war or at the earliest colonial stuff, unless someone bought something on their travels…
“I was unsure how a video game-related item would be treated on the storied PBS program”
