I like that this reveals the unity of the art style and the clarity of design - I scrolled through something like a hundred Pokemon, and I could instantly recognize all of them for what they were.

Also cheating is always an asshole move. Nothing was stopping these people from breaking up first (which they objectively should have done since being single is better than having a partner who is a bully).

With the first letter, I don’t love it when women criticising men is described as “emasculating”. So many other less misogynistic words can be used there like being mean, being cruel, being insensitive, being a bully etc.

Did he say “making fuck”?

There is the use of the term abuse in the response to the first letter. I was told by domestic abuse counselors that woman are incapable of abuse and that whatever they do is in self defense and that only men are abusive. This was by licensed trained employed abuse counselors.

Honestly, there’s no way this can be explained away as just being stream-of-consciousness from someone who’s not legitimately antisemitic. I’m Jewish, and in 33 years I’ve never heard someone use the word (let alone call me it) except in movies or to specifically list it as a racial slur. And it’s not like it’s out

It was both!  If they’d done... like a little digging they’d have learned that clips of this Los Angeles-Area public access show called “at home with english” have gone viral before, in the hands of Nick and Joe of the Found Footage Festival.

My husband got me into Cowboy Bebop, and “Call Me Call Me” is in regular rotation in my playlists.

Beauty and the Beast gets me, although its the ending.  The lady who voiced Belle, Paige O'Hara, cried for real at the end during recording.  Enough to get the producers to ask of she's okay.  That comes in very clearly in the finished film, god the way she is just begging the Beast to be okay is rough.

I cry through the whole second half of Monster’s Inc, but I really lose it when that rebuilt door appears.

Now playing

Really, this weekend you had to post this?!?! And mention Mr. Hooper and the Rugrats episode? Tomorrow is the first anniversary of my father’s death and the only thing helping me hold it together is that both of my sons are away at school so the date isn’t so much in their faces.

The ends of Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, and Porco Rosso, and Picard joining the poker game at the end of TNG. I don’t cry at sad things but bittersweet final moments like that get me every time.

If you go to any kind of restaurant and are unhappy with your order or any other part of the experience, please do not verbally or physically attack the employees.

Wow.

This is basically the plot to “Middlesex”

Look, I try to be open-minded and sex-positive and whatever the fuck, but then I read an advice column where a person’s husband is sexting their own cousin and the response is that they should look up the legal definition of cousin-fucking and twist themselves into knots to arrive at a place where you can sext your
