Been mulling about whether or not I want to complete my Supergiant collection and finally buy Transistor or not so I can have the whole catalog in time for HADES II.

I’ve heard good things about the music and art (it’s Supergiant, so natch), but that the gameplay isn’t as good as their other games, and that it bungles

There actually is an officially licensed plush of the cat from Stray, but it’s not available yet: https://www.fangamer.com/collections/stray/products/stray-plush-cat

I’d never played a Remedy game before, but I’m really enjoying the playthrough of AWII that I’m watching. Even with almost zero context, the cojones to use FMV even with fairly realistic graphics, the idea of a character meeting their creator, and a fairly diverse array of music caught my attention.

I need to get into

I think I’m the only person in the world who has never played a Bethesda game of any kind, so I didn’t see that one.

Now playing

I’ve been watching a lot of noclip while I work, & I appreciate them talking to women like Lisette Titre-Montgomery of Double Fine, Jen Zee & Joanne Tran of Supergiant Games, & Lilith Walther of Bloodborne PSX.

I’ve always figured celebrity voice actors were there for the sake of the parents ‘forced’ to watch cartoons with their kids— little kids don’t usually know who the celebrities voicing the character are, and really little kids don’t always understand the concept of voice acting to begin with. But Harvey Dent’s

It will always sting slightly that his version of The Goon was never made. I get why— it was tentatively going to be an R-rated animated movie released in theatres, based on a lesser-known indie comic not about a superhero. But Paul Giamatti & Clancy Brown were perfectly cast, and nowadays with Netflix, I could see a

I don’t know if it’s a hot take or not, but I feel like a lot of the parody in Metalocalypse works because these criticisms of the music industry apply to bands of any musical genre. People who are so rich and so stupid and clueless about anything except music, dealing with writer’s block, performance anxiety, family

I always wondered if it had anything to do with the movie showing up as a level in the Kingdom Hearts series. That was actually my first exposure to it.

There’s also been a PS2 game, a GBA game, & a handful of novel/comic book/manga sequels/prequels-- I’ve always wondered if Henry Selick & Tim Burton even know about

I first became aware of him through Thundercats (2011) (Tygra) & JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Jotaro Kujo), myself.

At some point I’d like to sit down and watch Critical Role, but I’m focusing on catching up on a smaller tabletop project (Drawtectives) and/or reading the Adventure Zone comics.

I’ve said this before, but as a person who never owned an NES or a GameCube and finally got a chance to play Ducktales, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess on the WiiU, I am very happy I got one.

I also bought mine used, so IDK if that would influence the sales any.

That’s why I wish more Netflix originals were on physical media, I’m not a huge fan of how they mix their sound.

I’d probably do what you’re doing and buy vinyl with digital downloads, but I’ve never owned a record player.

Reasons I still buy physical media:

Skyrim doesn’t need to make a profit at this point, it’s been ported to everything else already. More people also use Mac/Linux than others realize.

I like a decent chunk of Stadium Arcadium, but that might have to do with being a Mars Volta fan and hearing their guitarist show up on “Especially In Michigan”.

I know beggars can’t be choosers, but I wish that instead of a mobile game on iOS or an MMO on Mac, they’d just finally bring Skyrim to Mac/Linux natively

The thought has definitely occurred to me that maybe Pokémon isn’t good, per se, the gameplay loop just scratches a certain part of my brain in a way I enjoy.

1. I am that one asshole who genuinely wanted MORE lore in the John Wick movies. The way it was presented always made me feel like I was watching something that was calling back to something previous, like some side show or comic book or something, that was required reading before seeing the movie.

2. Part of me is

Massive Monster confirmed the whole thing was a joke that multiple publications took seriously.
