This might be a mildly spicy take, but I really like Mercer’s role as Jotaro in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime, and I kind of wish the video games had an English dub option.

I tend to watch much smaller Twitch streamers do more genuine things for attention— raising money for pediatric cancer research, LGBTQIA+ support in more conservative areas, Ukraine war relief, etc.

I can recommend some who are actually doing an anti-cancer benefit as we speak if you want someone more sincere to watch.

When I was younger & first learned about Hiroshima & Nagasaki, I remember getting angry over how many noncombatants died in the blast, how many people/animals indirectly got sick because of the radiation.

My history teachers all repeatedly insisted the bomb was literally the only way the war would have ended, that

Thought of Stylo, too. Also the Gorillaz video where Jack Black shows up in the video, when he’s not even in the song.

Unrelated, but Coheed & Cambria is a great band who deserves better animation in their videos. They’ve gone with this stiff rotoscoping in a couple videos, and it’s not my cup of tea at all.

Speaking as a bi woman myself, I’ve referred to myself as “lesbian” and “gay” interchangeably if I’m JUST talking about my attraction to women. It doesn’t mean I’m not also attracted to men & non-binary or genderfluid people, or that I’ve stopped being bi.

I’ve oft described them to people as “if Kermit and Miss Piggy were humans”. It’s not exact, but Laszlo and Kermit are both artists, while Nadja and Miss Piggy are dramatic, love sparkly dresses, and will beat the crap out of anyone who crosses them.

In terms of animated characters, Kronk and possibly the Disney Hercules definitely deserve to be on this list.

Hercules isn’t so much an idiot, but he has that “nonthreatening female gaze” thing from the Tumblr link posted earlier down pat.

He was so good in Brave and The Bold. The fourth-wall-breaking meta commentary always made me chuckle.

One of my favorite Disney Parks adaptations are the “Disney Kingdoms” Comics they made with Marvel right after the Marvel acquisition. The Haunted Mansion one is probably the best adaptation of that ride, period.

I have a feeling some of it has to do with the fact that one of the writers unfortunately just passed away, and there’s no better promotion for a show sometimes than a staff member’s death.

With the risk of starting a possible argument— was the film accurate in saying Freddie was bisexual, or was he a case of compulsive heterosexuality? I know there were a lot of fierce arguments for and against when the film came out, and I was afraid to prod.

I’m bi myself, & I can’t imagine not being attracted to

I figured there was a chunk of people who were using someone else’s streaming service login because they literally could not afford to (someone with a very small paycheck who can only afford to pay for essentials, a college student who can’t fit in a job between classes), & the alternative was piracy-- a thing some

Wait, is that album art by Scott Campbell, aka the artist that worked on Psychonauts and Brütal Legend? I’d also consider that kind of a video game reference.

Re: “Juicy”, though, I will never not think of this shitpost in association with that song:

I hope one day we get a live-action version of his female counterpart too, Element Girl/Urania Blackwell. If only because that chapter of Sandman centered around her is one of the most impactful in the whole series, and I don’t think the Netflix Sandman show will include it for licensing reasons.

A handful of assorted thoughts:

1. I think I was spoiled in my first campaign— it was a totally homebrew setting, the DM took our backstories into consideration and peppered in people we mentioned in our backstories as NPC’s, intentionally subverted some annoying fantasy tropes (some of the elves were actually the most

Goldenloin also has a codpiece in the comic, and Nimona shapeshifts into a news reporter at one point to make a joke about how he’s “compensating for something”.

One of the only upsides to this being released on streaming instead of in theatres is that there’s apparently closeted queer kids watching this away from

Speaking as someone who’s been binging N.D. Stevenson’s comics for a good solid decade, Nimona was SO, SO GOOD. Quite a lot of the comic got changed around or axed entirely (RIP Dr. Meredith Blitzmeyer, I would have loved to see you animated), but we got a more overtly gay and trans film out of it compared to the

I think it’s a mixture of that and some people just not being interested in video games at all, or only playing them as a way to connect to a relative/friend/significant other and then dropping it when they lost touch with that person. How many people have said “I only played World of Warcraft because my friends did,

Same-- unless it’s a roguelite. I’m a sucker for those because of the “alright, I died this run, but the next run might be randomized more in my favor” aspect.

I guess it’s a personal preference thing, I guess. Aside from a handful of “live service” games that I dip in and out of depending on my interest in a current event, I like playing shorter indie games where I can finish them quickly and move onto a totally different one.
