A huge part of me wants to believe she had zero to do with that poor woman’s murder. Another part of me thinks, at the very least, she was privy to some kind of pertinent knowledge.

Down ticket politicians who are pro gun control. Every 2 years, not just every 4 and in every level of government.

so thats what a seventh degree burn looks like...

this is so fucking exhausting. i hadn’t heard of the west virginia firing, and the fact that it wasn’t a bigger fucking deal when we as a country can discuss starbucks cups and the race of santa ad nauseum is just infuriating.

“Though the perp...excuse me, victim, did not have, on his corporeal being a tangible handgun, per se, we have excellent reason to believe that he did have, in his mind, a clear and distinct impression of a handgun and we hold, with Locke, that whatever a man forms a clear and distinct impression of in his mind does,

Or even that she’s pleading for her husband not to get shot, while simultaneously pulling out her phone and filming it because it’s the only way she’d be able to prove what happened

It’s like when you use a blue crayon to color in windows, for a drawing of a house. Everyone knows you intended it to be transparent, but it’s still blue.

from rodney king, freddie gray and now mr.scott, the officer who shot him will go to court and be found not guilty. do you now how extraordinary it has to be for an officer to face charges, only when there’s video, even then, they get off.

you do not touch maddox

Bitter exes who just want to stunt on the other. Thumbs Up and popcorn ready.

I’d love to hear someone tell a white woman that she always has the option to shave her head to get a job. Sounds totally reasonable, right?

“Like I said, it breaks my heart. I can’t change that. I have zero power to change that... All I can do is say I’m so sorry”

“But it is still my firm opinion that six years old is too young to be taught about police brutality unless it is something necessary to be taught

First of all, I didn’t say anything about not having an age approprate discussion. Secondly, there’s a difference between having an age appropriate discussion and saying nothing. The OP is rationalizing saying nothing.

You should tell her sooner rather than later (which, as a non parent, I can only assume would be super easy :-/). White people who grow up thinking the police are “good” are as big a problem as the police themselves.

This time? Yes. I thought your reply was rude as fuck and adjusted my reply accordingly. To be honest, I thought I did a damn good job of holding back. I should have been more rude in my reply.

If she gets in trouble I say, “Good!!” From the mouths of babes and all that. The cops - even in your heavenly neck of the woods - need to hear it. They need to be confronted with what their colleagues are doing in less peaceful hamlets. They need to keep that little white girl in their head when they talk to cops

Six years old is certainly not too young to understand what privilege is.

How is it not necessary ? Also, why so you assume that because there are some minorities in her classroom that the teacher is being progressive about racial issues and teaching the children about race? I thought the (white) kids were too delicate for such issues at that age.

“The video doesn’t corroborate our story, but trust us, it’s our story that’s right and not the video. Because video, much like science and the female orgasm, is a just a bunch of lies.”
