I live in Seattle and when the extreme windstorms hit in the winter they can knock out power to the surrounding areas for days.

Happened a few years back. Luckily I live in the city proper so it's hard for all of our power to get knocked out. But the suburbs? Yeah, they get screwed.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he was drinking when he tweeted this. No sober person, and definitely not one in his high position, would ever do something like this unless they were intoxicated.
