I didn't buy from a co-worker who was selling the same shit my daughter was, and there was an email sent around the office saying that I wasn't "working with the team"....

I currently have a stash of about a dozen brownie mixes on hand. Young one has a weekly bake sale...yes, WEEKLY, for her basketball team. I'm lucky that she's old enough to wield a pair of pot holders, and knows her way around the kitchen. She said that her brownies go for $1.50 a brownie and always sell out…
This is the first year ever, that my 86 y/o father ventured to purchase gifts on his own. My mom always did it, and in the past 5 years since her death, he has just sent a check to me, to buy the young one an appropriate gift.
Thanks....I actually pulled up those songs after posting, and had myself a little weep fest. I tear up and actually sob
We were always called "step in stone" kids. I've also heard the Irish twins referral, but it was usually referred to cousins that were born within months of each other. I'm extremely close with my Irish twin..
I am going to sound like an AA meeting, but I love and cry to John Denver.
I asked him, and he said that his students are English speaking. What I found hilarious is that it has a picture of one of the Disney cats - (I think from Aristocats) in the middle of the wording..
I am here in my office, with a picture of one of my nephew's students pinned to my board. (He is a kindergarten teacher in S. Korea.)
@sissylarue: I thought Thanksgiving was all about giving thanks....and Dina should be down on her knees thanking the Lord that somebody (the judge) with some sense stepped in to order rehab for her child.
@doit2julia: My sister and I used to do the same thing!
I always thought that the reason a person went to a prostitute was for the anonomity of it all...
@BadDecisionDinosaur: LOL....I'm not that horrible of a mother. I would take her to the water fountain to rinse it!
@LoveNoelG: Yup! I raised my daughter with the 5 second rule, no 15 second rule ....and finally the oh what the hell...just blow the freaking dirt off of it rule.
@Azarean: Of course I have....and she thinks it's totally unneccessary.! But she's talking from a 13 y/o perspective, from a child who is not sexually active. She's only interested in basketball and Justin Beiber. I know this can change in a heart beat, and I want to be ready for it....I just don't want to push it…
@Azarean: I really hope that you are not equating my hesitation to give my daughter a vaccination with Barack Obama being a "secret Muslim".
@a4ashley: Thanks! Working on it.
I wish I could view the Viddler clips....
@cand86: Yup, yup and yup. That is the problem that I am having. I think if I was to choose it for myself (I'm a 51 y/o woman), it would be easier than making this decision for my daughter.
@Pierce Nichols: The CDC website has been one of my main sources of information. I work in a medical school, and I have multiple medical professionals within my immediate family circle. This has been a discussion among us since the vaccination was first distributed. I'm not saying that I haven't looked at the…
@MelissaMahoney Misses MizJenkins: That's just it. I HAVE done my research on it. I've also talked to health care professionals, but I'm still not comfortable with it.
